Henry’s speech in FNAF 6 is so good and serves as the perfect ending to the story of the Afton’s. (I don’t count the other games since William Afton is canonically dead and gone by that point. It’s more or less the Vanessa/Vanny arc of the game.)

I don't think Burntrap is Afton, after Mimic's reveal, I think the latter just has an AI which was designed to have the same personality and memories as William (made by William), and those memories led him to try and replicate what Afton did, but he needed help, so he took control of Vanessa to upload him into a robot.

I see a lot of people talking about how the series should have ended at 6 and i honestly feel like that is shortsighted. Yes, that is the end of the first era. Scott's story is over. However, like the cursed object of a horror franchise that everyone thought was buried, new creators have found FNaF and with Scott's blessing, a new era has begun with a new story, seperate but seeded by the originals. I love the original story, but i also love the new story in turn and do not feel it diminishes the old story the way other things (like The Star Wars Sequel Trilogy) undermine their past stories
