100% agreed, although one minor critique. I think they need to do something with their white balance while filming. They’ve got a mix of white from those LED’s and yellows. It could really help by white balancing especially for content like this concerning skincare

The Biossance Probiotic Gel Moisturizer is a game changer. I was a newly recovering alcoholic with DRY, DRY, DRY skin that was red and scale covered. With good nutrition, lots of water, and this moisturizer, 2 yrs later my skin biome is near flawless. At Christmas everyone was commenting on my complexion and how little foundation I was wearing (Bareminerals original powder). If your skin won't absorb cream moisturizers try this gel. Their Rose Vitamin C Facial Oil is off the hook too! Great brand!

I love your guys' videos and appreciate the information! As someone who has always had trouble with their skin (combination/sensitive/acne) , grew up in a dry area (southern California) and now lives in the super humid Caribbean (Dominican Republic), I would love to hear your thoughts on how one might alter their skincare routine and/or what they look for in their skincare products based on their climate (extremely humid vs extremely dry). Thanks again for your helpful recommendations!

So, acne tends to be associated with oily skin and I feel like the YT space really needs more info on acne skin that is also dry. Being one of those people, I know first hand how tricky it can be to find a good moisturizer that moisturizes and hydrates the dry skin but also does not cause breakouts. Would have been lovely if you'd have included this category, but nonetheless a great video by my favorite online derms :) Update: personally, I have my acne prone dry skin under control. I just meant as a general principle.

Hello doctors. I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for recommending skinfix barrier! My husband has struggled with severely dry, cracked and splitting hands and fingers over the years because of his security job outdoors in the elements. He cannot always wear gloves so it's been challenging and painful for him. I've tried various products with little success. So when I watched your video recently, I decided to try skinfix barrier and bought the smallest size to see if it would work. He tried it and within 24 hours noticed a big difference and a lot of relief! This is a miracle for us so thank you so much!

Try the blue tub of Nivea cream, you must warm it in your hands to apply it to your face. It's very thick, but seals in moisture, like a wax seal. I looked 5-10 years younger in the morning. It has some cumulative effects. The Cera-ve pm moisturizer, lives on my nightstand when I'm too tired for anything else. I was sick many years, practically abandoned my skin care routines of the past. Cerave pm & my skin & hair vitamin saved me. (My nails split & bleed when I don't take them) Forget hormones & genetics, you can't control those. You are what you eat. That sugar shows up on your skin, no botox or creme can hide the inflammation.

I'm 58. For years, I've used Origins Plantscription Serum and Perfect World Moisturiing cream in the morning, along with .025 Tretinoin at night, and I have no wrinkles on my face. My skin is soft and supple. Since I was a teen, my diet has consisted of fruits and vegetables, chicken and salmon, nuts/seeds, eggs, a little, and some starches like couscous and. No red meat since then. I exercise and use suncreen though I should have been more protective of my legs while swimming for the last 10 years (at least I use a long-sleeved rashie for my upper body). I think I'll try a body retinol for my lower legs.

I would love it if you would dedicate a short episode to oil-free moisturizers. Squalane always breaks me out as does any moisturizer with oil in it, if I leave it on all day. I am sure there are moisturizers with oil out there that won’t break me out, but I’d rather not take my chances. It would be nice to know about oil-free options you would recommend. Not all oil-free moisturizers are good or good for acne-prone skin. It would be helpful to know how to select a good one. Lately, elta md barrier restore serum is my daily. LRP double repair has been my regular moisturizer for years, but it feels a bit to heavy and stings a bit as I adjust to tazorac.

I will definitely check out the Skinfix and La Roche Posay! I have a question if you have heard about the Glow Recipe Plump Pump Hyaloronic Cream, if that was not recommended to use as I am not sure about if this had fragrance or if all of Glow Recipe skincare line all has fragrance. Since they advertise it has plum extract and has a slight plum scent that doesn’t stay, does this mean Glow Recipe should be avoided because they all probably have fragrance in their products?

SO much information that my head is spinning!!! Great info!! I’ve been using vani cream and I’m 65. I believe I will switch to the ROC and by the way I love some of the Kiehls products. I’ve used their lip balm for 20 years!

Hi! Just started binge watching your channel; absolutely love the content and knowledge! I have a ? I have oily, acne prone skin, but I want a moisturizer that gives me the dewy look. Unfortunately, from my research, I haven’t found a moisturizer that checks all these boxes 🤷🏼‍♀️ Would you have any recommendations? Again, I’m absolutely thrilled with the work you both are doing! Thanks you!

I stared using Avene xera calm moisturizer and I’m absolutely in love with it. It hydrates so beautifully and leaves such a wonderful and nice layer over the skin.

I love the CeraVe PM lotion for all day use. I have dry skin and it is amazing for an inexpensive skin care product. I also want to add a retinol product and think I will give the Neutrogena or ROC a try. Thank you.

In my opinion, to truly enjoy these products, a person HAS to be using the right cleanser (that's appropriate for your skin & has a good formula). Some moisturizers that I hated (because they irritated my skin), I ended up loving after I switched to a better cleansing routine. PS, Using an automatic face brush revolutionized my cleanse... it made a huge improvement, which then opened up my world to more moisturizers.

I use Kiehl's sunscreen 50spf after Ultra moisturizer. I've never been chasing the suntan after finding I just burn or turn beige. Almost 65 now and glad I didn't do too much sun.

Hells yeah, im so happy one of my OG and still currently using Retinol moisturisers got on yalls list! The Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair i have been using this since my early 20s and im 45 now and still shufel this one on my routine because since then i have found a couple other really good retinol, vit c, niasinimide, ceramides and hyaluranic acid day and night moisturisers that i absoultly love! Neturogena actualy has a newer or upgraded version of the one yall showed and it the Rapid Tone Repair correcting cream! It has Retionl and vit c and i love it just as much or more than my OG fav!! Its in the same type of container but has a pearl white bottom and then the silver lid. And a new recent fav i use with my day time Neutrogena hydrating gel with hyaluranic acid is the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cream with the green wrighting on the white pump bottle has three essential cerimides and hyaluranic acid and its nice and light for day time even mixed with the hydrating gel (which btw walmart now has a generic of with the exact same ingredience as the Neutrogena Hydrating Gel has in it and same consistancy and feel and results! I do SWEAR by that OG Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair tho!! I have actually seen results with this product and even better now since i have added to more products to my routine! Thanks for yalls test reviews and keepin us all on track with our skin care! Much love, G🤗❤

I started using Cereve because so many skin care professionals recommended it. It was fine but I had to stop using the PM version because it broke out my neck in little bumps! Stopped using it, they went away. No idea why, but as good as it is, it’s just not for everybody.

Would love to know your thoughts on the super spendy Augustinus Bader Rich Cream. Is it worth it? Thank you for all your informative videos this year. Happy Holidays! Greetings from CA 🌸

None of those super spendy luxe creams are worth the price. Most of the cost is either for branding or packaging. You can always find an equally effective product at the lower price point. A lot of the luxe brands add too much fragrance, which can be highly irritating. The choice is definitely yours on how you wish to spend your money. 🥰
