very nice review, from what i know that story why they use mx4 instead of 97 yz10 was because original mx4 prototype still underdevelopment with the concept of center mid mount motor design , however, since the losi xx was show up early and interrupt their plans, so they kind of rush in to push the mx4 out for that year.

Glad you’re still making videos sir! I also have a slight aversion to anything not from the 80s/90s that I’d like to get over. Is it wrong to dream that a group of dudes like us might get together and design a 2020 retro version of everything we love about the old buggies?!?

Hello. So if you had to choose to only take 1 and leave the planet for the moon you would the YZ-10 95 or 97 and have some pain in the to change electronics. My dream car is the Masami MX-4 or any MX-4 as a shelf queen :-)

I would take the 95 YZ10. The 97 was meant for a very specific track and is not as versatile. The MX-4 has a center layshaft which I absolutely hate.

@@doctormosfet Hello. Sorry it was late or I was drunk. Question was: YZ-10 (95 97) OR MX-4. Ok I suppose a car where you hate something, you won't take it to te moon to begin a new life. So YZ 10 95 period :-) Next question: Losi XX-4 (CR did not yet exist) or Kyosho ZX-R (+ some special edition) and 2nd round: Losi XXT-CR or Associatet RC10T (a RPM and carbon modified one) . I'm glad I do not have to choose, very difficult for me but you have some practical experience, so I'm quite nervous to hear your answers :-) Regards and greetings from tiny Luxembourg.

@@rccarloverluxembourg718 hard choice between the XX-4 and Lazer ZX-R. ZX-R is stronger but the XX-4 is faster, so I'll go with the XX-4. I would take the XXT-CR over the 10T, because the 10T, despite handling well, jumps like shit. However, I'd probably take the T2 over the XXT-CR, since the XXT front body mount is fragile.

@@doctormosfet Amazing all these details. Would really like to grab a beer and have a nice chat in personal :-) End of questioning. Lazer ZX-R is like a small Kyosho Inferno MP-5, I got a tuned RB6, but I need a ZX-R to be nearer to my 1st ever RC Car: the MP-5. Losi XX-4 is amazing avantgarde layout, so for collection only, faster won't be important for me anymore. Got a XXT-CR for a few bucks, so XXXT CR will be next. When I drove my modified RC10T around 2002 in a race the german champion told me I had no chance against a T3 perhaps because of its minor jumping capacities. I have 2 x the T5M, so I'll try to get a T2 or T3 too. Very interesting T2 vs XXT CR. As I did not mention the XXXT CR or Matt Francis, T2 vs XXXT CR. I guess you take the T2 :-) Thx for this nice dialogue. Regards.
