Facts! I'm on blood pressure medicine had no clue I had high blood pressure and also always have been active and not one doctor ever even looked into this. I'm happy I now have an African doctor that figured it out my first visit and also has addressed my fibroids with a specialist that will do embolization instead of a hysterectomy. Black men and women we need to be really taking care of ourselves.

My Aunt passed from a massive stroke at 46 years old. Hypertension can run in the family. You can look like the "board of health" and even be a teenager and still have Hypertension. That's why it's known as the silent killer. Thank Goodness Jamie Foxx is still with us.

The unfortunate thing with the American healthcare system is that people can't afford the doctor. Even with insurance. I was noticing a potential medical issue with myself. I got a checkup with a specialist and they scheduled me for tests. I go for the tests and they want $2K up front. I have a full-time job with full benefits. What I don't have is 2K in the bank. Hope I don't die.... Insurance be like - physicals are covered. Fixing problems we find during the physical $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I prayed for him several days ago and didn't know he was in any kind of medical trouble but my sister and I were on the phone and I felt led to pray for him and I rebuked the Devourer and I also ask God to restore anything that was damaged or lost in his body to protect him from hurting harm or danger or anyone else that may seek to take his life I also asked God to use him as an end times warrior so I do agree that he is not lucky he is blessed to be alive

“Listen to your body” works in a general sense but it’s important to actually CHECK levels & get tests done on a regular basis. You can’t always see or feel everything. High blood pressure specifically is often referred to as “the silent killer” cause you don’t feel anything until one day boom: stroke/kidney failure etc. especially if you know something runs in your family, test for it early & work on preventing now instead of attempting to cure later. Most of this comes down to food. The foods we eat can either be medicinal or poisonous. Choose wisely if/when you can.

I had a stroke at 37 years old followed by 2 epilepsy attacks and severe nerve damage and chronic nerve pain which i have to treat every 4 weeks with lidocaine and ketamine both strong opioids. I thank God for saving me and helping me be here to see my 2 babies grow up. A piece of advice, watch your alcohol consumption.
