Emily at around the 12-13 min mark I felt the spirit. I’m so far away (Perth Australia) but I felt like I was right there. It reminded me of the time in my youth when I had to obtain a temple recommend to attend the Nauvoo Temple Dedication at my home stake in Hobart Tasmania. I remember being told that our Stake Center became like an annex to the Nauvoo Temple. I wasn’t there physically in Nauvoo but I felt like I was. The spirit transcends border closures and the oceans that separate us. Thank you for opening those borders.

❤ Welcome to Zion!!! I love you guys!! You have made my family's Come Follow Me an even greater experience as I listen to your videos multiple times during the week at work. As we have it each day, I'm able to share the things from your videos as we come to it in the lesson. Then to literally wake up, open my eyes, check my phone and see you made a new video down the street from my home, brought a big "too early to be getting up" smile on my morning face. Thanks for what you two do. I love you guys! Much Alofas to you!❤🙏🤙

It’s so fun to see these places. I went on a church history tour after my senior year in high school in 1984 and was scheduled last year in the fall for an adult tour but covid ruined the plan, ruined everything! So I’m happy to see these places again. And I love The Nashville Tribute Band. I’ve seen them several times in Concert. Love their music!

Ezekial 16 symbolizes Jerusalem as a heathen child neglected from birth until the Lord rescues her and cares for her. Verse 5 especially comes to my mind as I am watching this video today..."but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the loathing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born". She was certainly treated with loathing as the history in Missouri unfolded. Yet, beginning in verse 60 the Lord reminds her, and us, of His covenant and that He will establish unto her an everlasting covenant. I am so grateful for His promises to covenant Israel. They are comforting to me in these turbulent days, and strengthen me as I shore up my home and my heart as a Zion place.

I drive past this at least once a day. My home is 5 blocks west of this spot. Many saints have spiritual sight and see many things and angelic presences here on this spot. It's been interesting living here for the past 21 years. It is home, now. Haha, they mentioned the mission office. I clean that building. 😂 There are members of the restoration branches who come to this lot to offer daily prayers. In Kirtland, Karl Anderson is a great go to for all things Kirtland. He was my stake president as youth and my CES coordinator when I taught seminary later in life...and he's written several books on Kirtland. It's safe to say, he's an expert on the subject.

The third church that owns land here, actually the temple place, is The Church of Christ Temple Lot. (to distinguish itself from the plain Church of Christ). They have a small visitors center by the 4 stones that mark the corners of the actual temple. I met with a man there and learned that they study the Book of Mormon and consider themselves the only true Church that continues from Joseph Smith. They have only 32 congregations and about 7,300 members. He explained that they feel they are the guardians of the temple lot, and when the Lord calls on them to build the temple for New Jerusalem, they will. They have owned the land since 1863 by their first president Granville Hedrick, hence their nickname, Hedrickites. I was impressed by their dedication to this future Temple Lot for nearly 150 years. Although the New Jerusalem will be a large temple and the actual size, we know not at this time, it is significant that this group is so dedicated to preserving what happened on April 6, 1830, the formation of the Jesus Christ's church on earth, that they use that as their foundation date, and revere their protection and ownership of that land.

I’m wondering why people are still talking about Jackson County as ‘Zion’ when the Lord specifically “excused” the saints from building the temple there “because of the oppression of their enemies”? (Section 124:49-51, which is dated Oct 1838). Seems to me all the other references to Zion are about the Salt Lake Valley. 🤷🏻♀️

Jerusalem means "New Salem". So the New Jerusalem means "New New Salem", Salem being one of the cities that was translated, like Zion of old.

I am not one to ever want to hurt another's feelings... but as tactfully as I could be, I think I will not be talented enough to avoid it. I may get all kinds of flack from everyone but... I would have been the child that would have said the Emperor has no clothes. All of this contribution is priceless and soo soo appreciated... However coming from the professional music world, it is difficult for me to listen to a musician that comes so close to hitting the right notes and yet as Maxwell Smart would say... "Missed It By That Much!" May I suggest at least in editing, that the musical vocals be lightly introduced to "AutoTune". And for those of you who wish to say naughty things to me for speaking the truth, that's OK because I am still learning how to interact better with tact and diplomacy. So with that please forgive my openness and inability to express with more finesse. Pitch training might be just the thing to improve future expression of music. Now, I duck to try and miss the darts. :)
