Waaaow..do you know I was thinking about this story some days ago? My mom told me this story about the white man and the building of the bridge when I was about 10 yes old. It is a true story, it did happen. And up till when I left Nigeria I do know that people still throw money into the water below the bridge as an offer to appease the mammy water when driving over the bridge. I even asked my mom to stop one time after we drove over the bridge to walk me back so I could throw some coins into the water :) ..memories aye
