But ... that's one of the biggest reason people live on the streets. Drugs are more important then trying to better their situations.

sadly addiction due play a part in 90% of homelessness, as someone with serious mental health problems. with really the only support of my auntie at 70 years of age, i know but my life could fall apart as easy as others. sadly people need to address their addictions first, as otherwise life will always be chaotic. having mental health problems is hard enough, but using just rams all your shit in to one heep and you go down quick

Judging people because of there circumstances ie living on the street is just so wrong. Imagine being there yourself when your tucked up at night in your 12 tog duvet. People should not be living on the streets this day of age, discusting it really is. Goverment should lay heads in shame the p$$$ks

Hey let me tell you after being back in my home town a few years ago as a minister of God i spent a lot of time down town Manchester with the homeless feeding them and spending time talking to them i found out a lot a couple of people invited me to sit down and share their blanket on the floor after sitting there and listening to their story's i learnt that there really is no were for them to go when it's really cold or snowing which if you have ever been to Manchester you will know that winter is indeed bitterly cold and down town is more so, so after hearing what most people told me I did a bit of investigating myself into the so called shelters which are a joke i found out that most shelters are just money making scams there are no free shelters for them to spend the night take a shower ect what i found was one establishment claiming to be a homeless shelter which was a huge building that had been donated by the owner to this company and upon wangling myself an invite to be a volunteer i spent the day on the inside and was shocked at what i uncovered which was there was no beds for the homeless to spend the night no showers for them to get clean and they only offered food once a week in fact they had security at the door up on the second floor was a huge area full of all kinds of donations like expensive fridges microwaves ect all with sold signs on them in the basement was piles of thrift store items clothing nick naks ect i saw a nice sleeping bag and asked if they could give that to the homeless man on the comer street who was sleeping with a worn out one to this I was told he would have fill out a bunch of forms and sign up with social services in order to get it i found this ludicrous and said so and at the end of the day i spoke my mind and said so you have a huge building but you have no beds for them no bathrooms for them you don't clothe them and you seem to think they only need to eat once a week so how can you call yourself a homeless shelter i knew as a minister of God that the Lord had led me there to seek out the truth and before I left totally disgusted and sad I accidently walked into a room full of people at desks on phones and computers were they busy talking money donations I had seen all I needed to see and up on arriving home and being also a google guide with millions of reviews I sat down and did a very long google review on the place and praised God for using me to uncover a total money making sham. because after all, all evil needs to succeed is that good men do nothing Amen ------------ minister Raschell .

The thing I find hardest to hear is that these people cannot access benefits. The slice of society that need it most, can't have it. I've heard some nonsensical things from government policy before but that one defied all reason.

I find it hard to believe some of these people due to my own experiences with addicts. Those I know are victims and relish being a victim, it's all about them. They can't see past their own difficulties. U never hear any homeless being interviewed saying their families have disowned them because of things THEY have done, it's always someone else's fault. I wish these people the very best and hope they find a way out of addiction. I just don't believe everything they say.
