Octavio Rettig references yopo in this documentary a couple of times as a natural source of 5-MeO-DMT. However, Anadenanthera peregrina seeds contain only trace amounts of 5-MeO as well as N,n-DMT. The primary psychoactive alkaloid present in yopo is overwhelmingly bufotenin, which is also a powerful tryptamine.

You're heart will let you know. ✨ I had a unique experience that shook me up a bit and has me pondering lots of things. The results has all been positive. I look at it as getting my heart right and in check in this natural life. The experience I had blew my mind to oblivion.

I'm not sure I was in hell but it definitely felt like it. It was a very tough experience for me, in which I felt that whole my life before was a lie and that I'm actually nothing and everything I think of myself is - again - nothing but lies. It's been 3 days since I had this experience, I still am trying to process it. I don't think I regret it because I guess I needed this but it was a tough one, no doubt about it.

@@YURIEV_DEN oh dude, yeah, super rough. 3 days...yeah, might take some time to digest the experience for sure. I think it's a strange thing that happens like all those constrasts that is presented. Spending time in nature a few days after helps a bit. Like getting intune with life amd what not it seems. Id be curious to hear how you process. I wrote a thing on my experience trying to make sense of it...i could share with you if you're ever interested.

As one of the people being interviewed said at the end of the documentary, the notion of preparation prior to trying the experience is very important. You need to be in a balanced state of mind, having a specific purpose for doing the experience, having worked on yourself and letting go of emotional baggage prior to trying bufo alvarius is essential to having a healing and incredibly revealing experience. In your case it's very well possible that you just weren't ready.
