He’s been called the greatest guitarist most people have never heard of. Thirty years after Danny Gatton’s death, a documentary chronicling his career will be shown this weekend as part of Filmfest DC. News4’s Mark Segraves reports.

If i may.. lifelong player here i think i might be Danny's biggest fan of all time.. I've been playing so long i can figure out any other guitar player.. but not him.he had some chops that I've been trying to learn forever..i still don't have it.one of the greatest... ever

The reason Danny was the greatest unknown guitarist is because he didn,t fit the guitar God profile he didn,t do the stupid. Look at me poses or the Bullshit million pointless notes a second shredding. He walked on stage looking and dressing like he,d come to fix your roof. But all the guitar posures knew he was the boss
