This is so weird for me to say this as we are nearly approaching 4 years, as I know people have lost someone but for me who hasn't , lockdown one was one of happiest period of my life (especially when furlough was announced and approved by my employer ). I was gyming , baking , gaming (war zone) with the mrs, using house party and teams to day connected with friends and family had a proper daily routine and got so much done around the flat , sure it was was frustrating in the beginning lining for hours in line at Sainsbury's etc just to do a quick shop. Even looking forward until Thursdays at 8pm for the NHS claps truly nostalgic for me.

I am a Brit living in AUstralia. I trained in the nhs and am proud of it. Why are people up in arms with this lockdown? Do they really want more people to die because they wont comply with the guidelines? How utterly selfish! Does uk really care more about materialism and money? I know its hard but we need to toughen up. We are behaving like a bunch of self serving idiots.Blame the incompetence of the government who are so arrogant that they didnt believe how other successful goverrnments were were handing it. And learn from it! Australia jumped on the problem early and put protective strategies in place , including closing borders early. The vast majority of the population adhere to them. Consequently we have a death toll of less than 100 fror a population of 25 million! We also have a very robust immigration system which uk could learn a thing or two from. I look on the uk with ututter dismay and sadness at what it has now become. Its in a real mess.
