Looks like this function has to be enabled either in the vehicle software or the fob. Probably has to be done by the dealership unless you have the necessary equipment. Most newer cars with multiplex controls have this capability. Not just Dodge.

You can't remotely put them back up. It's a safety feature to keep you from rolling them up on someone's arm/neck or what every is hanging out the window.

Found this out by accident with my keys in my pocket and pressed against a hard surface. I was thoroughly confused as to why my windows were rolling down! Scared thinking my van was either broken or haunted 😅

I’m pretty sure Honda has had this feature on accords 2003-present and I’m sure the other Hondas that are newer have it. Except it rolls all the windows down. It’s called global opening or something. To help cool down the car before you get in it

It's CRAZY..lol All of a sudden my windows where going down without me touching my clicker. My husband kept saying Why R U keeping the windows down? I said I'm not. I just had my hand near it and DOWN they went. So he stopped it from working. Now I need to find out how I can make it work again..Any ideas? I lost him 2 months ago.. May have pulled a fuse for it or unplugged the motor for the window check the book in the glove box look in the back f for fuses it’s all in alphabetical order it will tell you what page to look on find that fuse see if it’s missing if so just replace or you can do a Google search just type in year make model and fuse location for window motor. Hope this helps

If I could I would. I have had the panel off a few times now, and SOMETIMES if I jiggle the wires I can hear it starting to work, the actual button for the window is messed up and doesn't work at all. No light in the switch part.

This feature will only operate if the key fob was programmed at the dealership or from someone who has the programming software.. Most vehicles have this feature but it is NOT programmed ...

@@slwhite1959 If you come out of the grocery store and open a window, then pop the rear hatch, the car will be much cooler by the time you empty your cart. I wonder if I could use the remote start and leave the ac on at the same time? I know the car won't start with a door open, but it will if a window is open. I would guess you could open the window, then start it (locks the doors again) then open the rear hatch remotely... then unlock the doors again. Will have to try that today.
