Thank you. Everyone I talked with said they wear evenly. So if one needs replacement it's worth doing both because the second will most likely be going out shortly. I ended up getting mine from O'Reilly's autoparts after price checking autozone and NAPA. They had the best price in my area and it's been working well since the replacement. I got mine on eBay has a lifetime warranty and 3 day shipping.. $100-150 instead of $400..

Bro the car left me stranded 80 miles away from home. I’m on my second pump so immediately knew it was the fuel pump when the car died on me at work last week. I sprayed some of the starter fluid and immediately the engine turned on for about 5 seconds then died out so yea gotta change the pump this Saturday or Sunday

Were you able to push your brake pedal all the way down as usual because have the same car & I think thats whats wrong with my car but my brake pedal is like stuck

Yes I was able to fully push the brake pedal down. It would depress like normal, but would just crank the engine with no firing from having no fuel. If the pedal is stuck that sounds like it could be a different issue. Good luck!

If you can mark the ring and match them; It will save you a ton of time putting the rings back on.

I changed my both fuel pump 2009 challenger but fuel gauge still not going up and when I scan my car it’s shows to change fuel pump , where you buy fuel pump , I really need to disconnect my battery Or it’s just hazard free job

Man spent an entire year thinking my pump was gonna die, it magically stopped acting up for a month so i assumed it was my tune.friday the car started backfiring and almost died. Luckily i got the thing in the garage because when i went to reflash it the next morning it didnt wanna start 😂 fuel pump finally said 🫡 after 168k miles and 12 years. Great timing too.. moving Saturday and my pump wont be delivered until this evening. Hopefully i get it running so i dont need to try getting it onto a tow truck.

I have a journey that does this when starting but does eventually start. If i shut it off and start it back up immediately it starts right up just fine. If i push my start button several times before applying the brake, the 5th time switching it on and off and i push the brake the last time it would start right up. I can hear my fuel pump kick on. But each day i drive the longer the delay to start it. Could it be my fuel pump? Injectors, coils and plugs are all brand new.

Not changing the secondary pump will it cause the main pump to keep over heating.

So if the pumps are coming on.. could it possibly be the relays that are causing the car to not turn over? I'm in the process of just putting new relays bc I don't have a volt meter.

@ayalejandro Hi there! We took it to the dealership and this is what they found: The tech was able to diagnose your vehicle and repair it. He found initially that the key fob not detected message was active on the dash. He opened the battery to install a new key fob battery but found the current battery was installed upside down 🤦🏾‍♂️(so check your battery). He corrected that , then attempted to start the vehicle. the ignition turned on and engine cranks but it would not start. he said he noticed a strong odor of gas emitting from the tail pipe which indicated the fuel system is working but the ignition system is not. Car had a BCM code for ignition run/start control circuit short to battery or open. After inspecting all relays and fuses found fuse #35 ASD Auto shut down 2 was blown. He installed a new fuse and now vehicle is operating as designed. Hope this helps!

Correct. For this model/make year you can just remove the back seat and the fuel pumps go in from the top. Good luck!
