The hinges might be able to be put on the inside. Nice work.

I'm wanting to do something similar on my 92 S10. My plan has the bed sticking out back far enough that the hitch won't be as exposed as you have, and I also plan to have the recessed tool boxes open from the side to help with water issues. I also want fold down D rings recessed all around the bed, and I want stake pockets as well.

Right on, when you do it, make to post a video, I'm sure folks would like to see it.

What spec resistors did you use, I'm trying to wire up my flatbed and am having the same issue, my running lights are powered at max voltage causing my other lights not to work

Have flatbeded all of my trucks last few years (Colorados, sport tracs, half and 3/4 tons) Take the Reese hitch and put catwalk or similar material and build a step on top of it. No matter how low the truck is, seems I always want a step on it to get in. But mine all have side boxes and ladder racks

Thats an idea, I think I've got a solution for it, we'll see if it works out. Thanks.

Sounds like quite the project....I did put some new leafs in, mine were prtty flat, but I ended up just putting a spacer to raise the bed up a bit.
