tee. I usually charge $200 for install. but I do the install different than the video. I actually cut them in half longways and do a real install. (when I am doing it for customers) it allows for a cleaner and more consistent look.

Awesome kit looks like a pretty cool deal, I work for Mopar so I can get the Mopar lights for around the same price as the kit. But that's only because of a huge discount. But I'm really irritated that the dart my girlfriend just bought didn't already have the lights. So I'm trying to do this the cheapest way possible. Can I not just installed some LED strips in the tail lights and wire them up with Mopar connectors and everything and basically have the same thing? Just maybe not as clean of an installed and not as easy I'm assuming?

I'm sorry but... that is soooo incredibly janky its just not even funny... the light strips are just dangling around in there... and not even in the proper orientation at that... as in, since they are dangling, and you shifted them around every which way while threading them through, they got all twisted around. Plus, they can just shift around and such as you're driving, meaning they wont have a very consistent look to them on a daily basis. While it does look cool on camera, in person they probably look pretty bad diffusion wise. best, and by far easiest thing to have done, was just grab a hair drier/heat gun and just loosen the glue so you could separate the housing. Next you drill a hole just BARELY big enough for the light strips to fit through on the back, fit the strips where you want/need them, then you could just use heat resistant glue/tape to tack mount it into proper placement, giving you the best uniform look that wont change. That way you have the tiniest amount of damage done to the tail light housing. hell you could then just cut the tape used on the factory wire housing, slip the new wires into it, then reseal it. and boom, there isn't a single indication that anything was modified. Oh, wait... scratch that... there's a HUGE indication that it was modified.... aka it now has Charger-like tail lights. That's a pretty darn big give away that its been modified... way more so than an extra wire harness running along the inside of the trunk hood..

The tail lights and headlights are plastic welded together. There is no glue like material to pull them apart easily. Not like the old school headlights where you can just throw them in the oven and bake them open. I have yet to see a better DIY way of doing this, so if you'd like to make a video, I am sure others would love to see a better implementation.

which kit did you order? There's three different kinds.

this is the prelit kit. this car had factory racetracks that came on with the headlight. if you were to not have factory lighting you would want the non lit kit

the lights that i got look completely different from those shown in 7:48, I don't see a difference between the sides, i don't know which side should be facing outside and therefore I couldn't install them properly, now they look weird

They probably look weird because the lights are not held down. This isn't exactly how I would have done it. Personally separating the lense from the backing would have been the way to go. Then could have glue or something similar maybe two side tape to tack it in place. This way the lights wouldn't be able to twist and move around and create what I would imagine a non uniform and awful look. You wouldn't notice in a camera like the video. U would notice this more in person. Which is what I think u have noticed.

Hey frost. Go ahead and go to your dealer and ask them for the kit that does what mine does. When they are done laughing at you (because they dont have anything close to it) then you can come back and talk trash. All they offer for $300 is running lights. For 200 i offer full brakes turns flashers door lock/unlock and panic. So get your facts straight before you talk trash. Let us see your handy work ? Where are your videos ? What have you created that was one of a kind.
