That M37 sure is a rare gem. Thank you for the video Sir, I have an 82 Ford step-side with the 4.9L 300 inline six. Driving that baby is like being in a time machine. :)

I have an 86 with the 300 six and a manual transmission. I feel the same way about it. I would rather drive it than anything else.

The old Dodge sure is a runner. Can't say the same for lot of new cars that become obsolete junk in less than ten years. These water proof spark plugs sure are expensive.

John Bizal at Midwest Military over in Minnesota has been selling these for several years now, and I have found them a good investment.

I miss working on stuff without all the electronic crap. How is the VW bus project? Also you still running the chippewa boots? Or did the quality on the new ones go down? I see they dont make the tall engeneer boots anymore.

Love that M37, I went looking for one and couldn’t locate one in decent condition for a fair price, I will keep looking as in my opinion older stuff is built to take it, where new stuff just doesn’t seem to hold up.

Takes a little maintenance for that thing, but you can do it, no sensor malfunction on the sensor to the sensor with a huge shop bill, most dont understand itsmlm not just a to b transportation, it's one of the work horses for your operation, plus its a "chick magnet"

I’m thinking about putting civilian plugs and wires on my m37 but I’m stumped on finding a connector to secure 8mm plug wire in the distributor. I’m not worried about being completely waterproof. Was wondering if you had any ideas that might help me out? I have read some guys will strip wire back and shove wire in distributor and let the rubber boot hold it in place but that’s no good. Enjoy your videos!! 3:59

Mostly I have seen people who switch, go with a regular car distributor as part of a 12 volt conversion.

Iove the older stuff , I pretty much run the 15 w 40 all year round in older engines . In Ohio really cold spells don't last all that long .

Very nice. The Dodge sure looks fun to work on. For sure.

Most things are simple straight forward requiring no special tools, even the spark plugs can be removed with a crescent wrench. The only complicated procedure is replacing points because of the sealed waterproof design, but you do it a couple times and it gets easy.

That's good. I got this 1978 Jeep DJ5 postal truck recently and it's really simple and straightforward to work on. I miss those types of cars.

Never can tell when you’ll want to submarine your truck so waterproof plugs are a must have! Just make sure your snorkel is fully extended when you do😅!
