Step-by-step guide on how to replace / remove / upgrade factory radio on Dodge Nitro SUV (2007 | 2008 | 2009 | 2010 | 2011 | 2012 | SLT | R/T | LIMITED | SXT ).
To start removing the radio, first you will have to pull the shifter all the way down to get more space to work around. Then pop out the plastic trim surrounding the radio. Once you do that there will be four phillips screws holding the radio in place. Remove those and pull the radio out. Disconnect the wiring behind the radio.
If you are replacing the radio with another factory radio, make sure to get exactly the same radio and to get the radio code. Radio code is usually found on the small card which is a part of the owner's manual. Other option is to call the Dodge dealership with donor vehicle VIN code and radio serial number.
