Very good information. I like that you took the time to disassemble and show how the internals work on the switch, thanks!

I had this same problem just the other day on a brand new to me 96 1500. I could do the wiggle so I knew it was this type of connector issue. Well at 10 at night in a city on the road I just made a jumper from the headlight terminal to the break light terminal and voila! I have continuous power to the tail and no need to increase fuse allowance. Worked and still works no issues...

Dude, awesome video! I'm on my 3rd switch and was bought 2 different switches - neither worked. It was driving me nuts. Thanks loads! Lot of dodge ram info out there, don't know if thats a good sign or bad...

How is the modified switch working out? Have you ever found a better switch replacement?

Parts made in Asia, but mainly in China or Taiwan (ROC) are junk, so this KZbinr’s explanation doesn’t surprise me at all. Always opt for parts made in North America (USA, Canada, Mexico) Japanese make quality parts too!

What people don't realize is everything comes out of the same factory! These are all made of the same junk and same junk design, yes even the mopar ones! It's like tools, no matter the name they all come from 1 of about 4 manufacturers! Your just buying a name nothing more!
