You dont have to cut nearly that much out . Just cut about a 1/4" inch on of the "shelf" out so you keep the strength and have a place for the radio to rest on.

Those antenna connectors are a pain on this truck, I had to buy an entire new extension from the antenna to the new radio because I broke the connector off the original one.

I like the look of the center peace but I don't like the carbon fiber wouldn't match my truck can you do the black to make it look as stock as possable or just carbon fiber ???

good job!...how do u install the brackets? and if u do that wouldn't the radio be kind of unstable? maybe got to make a little ledge on the inside of the dash so the double din radio can rest on it. let me know!!! thanks.

We make the double Din kits and do the Carbon Fiber in house.

my dodge is the slt with the infinity audio system and been quoted stupid prices just for wiring harness . can this still be a option for me ?

Yes, still an option. They have an amplifier bypass harness which is less expensive, but the crossovers are built into the factory amplifier, so you'll lose them and then spend money and lose sound quality installing passive crossovers. Plus you'll lose amplifier power to the factory sub if you have one. The best bet is the module which runs around $100 to retain the correct factory settings.

I'm not sure as far as the actual stereo dimensions. You can find them on the manufactures websites. This kit will fit any name brand (Kenwood, pioneer, JVC, Sony, etc). It will not fit inexpensive Chinese brands or oversized double dins.
