Good reminder video. I did my '94 so many years ago. Now it's leaking again. Got the replacement, now to find the time in the next few weeks.

Having this same issue unfortunately on my 01 rt10. Went to start up the car while it was in storage for the winter and the pedal was spongey as hell. Looked underneath to find a big ol' puddle in the exact same spot as yours. I'd love to take a crack at it myself but don't have the space or the equipment. It's still great to have a video like this to visualize the fault. Love your viper content, keep it coming!

Great content - especially for those of us that plan to DRIVE and MAINTAIN these awesome vehicles.

These extreme low mileage examples seem to be great investments, but man I would not want to maintain one. The amount of seals/gaskets etc going bad would be a nightmarex

I have the very same topic coming soon.... The exact same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago... The only difference is I'm also replacing the clutch. But it's funny this happened to us both at the same time

I was thinking about adding a lightweight flywheel but I don’t think it would be worth the loss of streetability. I convinced the slave cylinder is a susceptible to time just like other components.

Funny, the fellow who now owns the Gen 2 viper I sold in September just contacted me saying he has the same problem developing. Nolan, did your car have a big spoiler when you bought it? Just wondering because I tried to buy an 01 in Dallas later in the same day it ended up selling. It would have been May 2020. Also had the cognac interior.. beautiful car

This seems like it’s a time related failure. No mines a 99’, I bought it in Colorado

Dobbys garage looks like an ADHD explosion but he's got good taste in shirts.

Hahahah his garage is the garage of someone who actually uses it. The shirt is a nice touch 😉

I have a 2008 Dodge Viper. I have the transmission on on a jack and have everything line, but I can’t get pass the last inch to secure the bolts to the bell housing to the transmission any advice.

You need to make sure the input shaft is aligned with the pilot bearing. If not you may be bumping up against the bearing instead of sliding into it. Use the pressed pins on the bell housing to help aligning it.
