I wish Matt all the success in his new role. People have been critical of Dodge lately, and I share some of their concerns. I've been a loyal Dodge customer for years, but I haven't been happy with their product quality since 2017 - even when Tim Kuniskis was CEO. I hope Matt can bring about positive change at Dodge.

Personally I think the muscle cars going electric is a fantastic idea, HOWEVER they should have designed an entirely new car vs redesigning the classics. People would probably be a little more receptive to the change.

He said something around the 10 minute mark that he and others at dodge are missing and why this car will fail. He said they have the youngest demographic. Dodge thinks just because these EV’s are going to be faster in stock form than any other vehicle previously. In today’s market that’s not gonna cut it. People bought these scats and hellcats for the sound and speed. The price is what’s going to kill this car, they are so out of touch with people who buy them opposed there mopar fans. I think Dodge (and Stellantis) need to re-evaluate their current idea of pushing out EVs. They're going to be too expensive for most people, and because of the Mopar crowd, there's a large contingent that aren't willing to adopt EVs (never mind the vast majority of regular consumers that don't want them anyway). I think they should go back and look at hybrid vehicles for that extra push in power that the combustion engines might not have. They had hybrid V-8s in the Ram 1500, why didn't Dodge adopt them for that? I bet if they did that people would have been ok with the concept, and Dodge could theoretically limit the amount they manufacture each year. Additionally, they need to look at putting out more models. Nobody wants an Alfa Romeo with a Dodge badge slapped on it. They would be better off taking a Voyager/Pacifica and trying to make a sport version of that, as that *might* actually appeal to some people since it would be viewed as an American product, and not an Italian one.

Does Matt really know what the Dodge fans want? Because the way he's heading, Dodge maybe on its way to the chopping block. With the new Charger, that may not even sell, Matt thinks he can save Dodge. And the Hornet is the slowest selling car in America, and i think the EV Charger is going to flop big time. And Stellantis might get rid of Matt. If they can get rid of Tim Kuniskis, they can get rid of Matt, too. No ceo is exempt from being let go by Stellantis. Remember, each brand gets 10 years to make profits for Stellantis. Those that don't will be phased out.
