The solution to a bad MLB revenue issue is to put in place a minimum threshold of spending per club which will force the bad owners to stop using their non -competitive teams as a personal ATM machine. The players could be more helpful in having a reasonable salary cap via negotiations if they knew that most of the teams would be spending more than they presently do in a new agreement. BTW, haven't the Yankees been doing what the Dodgers are doing since the 1970's, remember Reggie Jackson's huge contract.

They also have 21 year old lefty Jackson Ferris coming. He was the Dodgers minor league pitcher of the year! Brasier unfortunately got DFA.

Can only have 13 pitchers on the roster. Ohtani doesn’t count though as a pitcher. Dodgers running out of roster space both 40 man and 26 man. Only a few have minor league options. Kershaw isn’t currently signed. As another mentioned, Gonsolin is missing from the list and good thing is that he has 1 minor league option left. In order for the Dodgers to make use of their deep pitching staff, they would ideally have 3-4 pitchers of the 13 who have minor league options. They might be able to eventually get away with 2-3. Ohtani isn’t pitching during the start of the season. Perhaps Kershaw signs mid-season. Starters - Reg start of season 1. Snell 2. Glasnow 3. Yamamoto 4. Gonsolin * 5. Miller * or Knack * Hybrid starters/relievers: 6. Sasaki * 7. May Relievers: 8. Treinen 9. Scott 10. Yates 11. Banda * 12. Kopech 13. Vesia IL out for season - Stone and Ryan IL - Sheehan *, Graterol * Brasier , Grove * Minor League prospects - Jarred Karros, Nick Frasso, Jackson Ferris, Maddox Bruns, etc. Those with * have minor league options but could be wrong for some.

@ no they can’t stick with 5 because both Yamamoto and Sasaki need 7 days rest between starts. Pretty sure they will try to give Glasnow at least 6 days and limit him to 6 innings. May is injury prone and he won’t last an entire year as a full time starter. Never has in his entire career. Sasaki’s velocity is down and it’s highly concerning which is why his innings may need to be limited also. The pitching rotation isn’t an issue at the start of the season: Two game in Japan - 1. Snell and 2. Yamamoto. Sasaki will probably pitch in one of the exhibition games as a starter. Back to spring training. So extended days off or more than a week. It’s been reported, the Dodgers will consider match ups and bullpen games will be used from time to time.
