The best part about this cardinals resurgence is that EVERYONE has taken part. The pitching, while not perfect has improved massively, and its not just goldy and Arenado but the entire line up has contributed. And Gorman is definitely the 3 if Goldy and Arenado are the 1-2 punch. Hell hes leading the team in homers.

That's what I was paying close attention to. We've blown out a couple of teams this year, but I was watching to see I f the cards would cave after they let the dodgers back in it or play with some heart and I was happy to see it was the latter.

I love this trend of absolutely destroying the opposing team in game one of a series... I don't know what was said behind those locker room doors after that long losing streak but it worked. This is the team that everyone expected (pitching still a bit shaky but improved). This offense is really fun to watch though!

MLB HAS to change the rules with the pitch clock. Giving the batter an automatic strike because he's letting his teammate come out to salute the fans who are cheering the HELL out of him is absurd. The umpire has to be able to say "okay, in this situation we can wait to start the clock".
@wade_23
@wade_23 Жыл бұрын
They did change that, apparently the team just has to inform that some "event" will take place before the game and they're given a buffer

YAHOO !!!! Ladies and gentlemen, Manager of the Year Oliver Jose Marmol and his St. Louis Cardinals (the GREATEST team in the league) are like a FREIGHT TRAIN ... they are unstoppable. So PUMPED to see the squad TAKE the NL Central, MAKE the postseason once again and in five/six months (depending on when the games are in October/November), HOIST that TWELFTH World Series championship! What a BONE-CHILLING bottom of the third inning! First, Óscar Mauricio Mercado and Paul Edward Goldschmidt come home on a teammate's BOMB to center field. Next, Juan David Yepez, the 25-year-old from Caracas, Venezuela, DEMOLISHES a ball to left field! Finally, Paul Sterling DeJong, the 29-year-old from Orlando, Florida, OBLITERATES one to left field. So much FUN in that bottom of the fourth inning. To kick it off, Óscar Mauricio Mercado, the 28-year-old from Cartagena, Colombia, shows his SPEED to score a crucial run! Shortly after, co-Most Valuable Player of the League, Nolan James Arenado, the 32-year-old from Newport Beach, California, LAUNCHES a nuke to left center field, scoring co-MVP Paul Edward Goldschmidt. Second baseman Brendan Michael Donovan, #SCTOP10 catch in the top of the fifth inning! That PROVES the STL is not only the best offensively, but defensively, too. OH MY GOODNESS ... a POWERFUL bottom of the eighth inning! To open it up, Lars Taylor-Tatsuji Nootbaar, the 25-year-old from El Segundo, California, RIPS an RBI single to right field, driving in Brendan Michael Donovan. Following was Óscar Mauricio Mercado crossing the fourth bag on the GOOD OL' wild pitch! Then, Noot and Paul Edward Goldschmidt score on a teammate's home run to center field. Finally, Nolan Brian Gorman, the 23-year-old from Phoenix, Arizona, WALLOPS a ball to center field, bringing in Alec Michael Burleson! Folks, give a STANDING OVATION to Adam Parrish Wainwright, the GREATEST pitcher in baseball history. An absolutely GUTSY effort by the 41-year-old from Brunswick, Georgia, pounding the zone all night long! HUGE SHOUTOUT goes to Génesis Cabrera, Drew Edward VerHagen, Jordan McKinley Hicks and Christopher Lee Stratton, part of the best bullpen in the league, for the SMOTHERING defense. TIME TO FLY !!! #12in23

Dodgers are playing a team that should’ve had a great standings right now like the fact they don’t have it is beyond me it should have we should’ve had a big lead in the standings but no cardinals started out there season as a bad team leading us to still getting great pitchers sad but that’s the truth we are missing key pitchers that could’ve gave us a bigger lead in standings and we don’t have any for the first half of season we need pitchers that are good all season long
