So true. The bullpen is definitely not MLB material. The Dodger press says it's overworked but each guy pitches just an inning every few days and they still can't throw a clean inning. What is the rule that if someone comes into the 7th and does pitch a great 1-2-3 inning, you roll the dice and bring a different guy in to pitch the 8th. When did this stupidity enter MLB? The bullpen is not overworked but it is over-managed! Anyway, it all spells another postseason disaster.

I accept objections and counter-arguments. As far as September is concerned, Edman's batting average, hits and OPS are far superior to Ohtani's. He also struck out less. Ohtani is a triple-threat player who hits, throws and runs, while Edman is a quadruple-threat player who hits both left and right-handed and plays inside and outside.

It's a flipping shame the season has come down to this. May, Rivers, Sheehan and Stone done and not available for October. Glasnow is a maybe and he won't be in playoff form. 12 pitchers currently on the IL. That leaves Beuhler and Kershaw in the rotation maybe. Part of the problem is Roberts signs guys with past past injuries. I guess this means more OKC call ups.

Sure, Knack stepped up today but he's not at the quality yet where he can pitch like this every outing. Even assuming we get a damn starter to go 6 innings within 3 runs every game, what are you gonna do when bullpen comes in and concedes 3 more runs every game 7th inning onwards? Worst part? The IL has quality starting pitchers in it, but the bullpen isn't even that injured. This is them at peak efficiency. May I say LOL? Bats will decide our game. And to do that, we have to score 8 runs minimum every game. How is that possible during the playoffs?

If you weren't a casual you would know that our bullpen was taxed last game with Bobby Miller only doing 2 innings. We were in the lead 6-0 before the brought that new guy in as well. There is a lot of pressure on our starters since they are all getting injured. But then again you are a casual that blames everything on Roberts for nothing.
