oh about mixnine, let me just say: the news about dreamcatcher having a brazilian tour didnt appear out of nowhere while they were in mixnine, actually, the tour was announced in august, two months before their appearence on mixnine was announced. I myself bough my ticket in september. So basically we all knew something would be happening. They could either drop the tour or mixnine. The thing is... Mixnine paid them dust, they had like 10 minutes of screentime in 5 episodes. I have a personal theory for that, but well... What im saying is that there wasnt really mixed feelings about it, 90% of the fandom hated mixnine, and we were mad they were getting no screentime at all, even if they were fairly popular, all the members leaded the votes every week and they were ranked high by the instructors in the show as stated by mera. So it made no sense, plus the fact that a reality survival show is usually mentally and emotionally draining and we felt they were going through all of that in vain. Also there is the fact that mixnine was a comercial failure. There was another reality show airing at that time, The Unit, and it was waaaaay more popular than mixnine, so like... yeah. But anyways even if things werent like how i just said, mixnine ship sank at the end anyways, so everybody say thank you brazil lol Now... dreamcatcher's history is full of ups and down. I admire them so much for just keep pushing. They went through really hard times, specially Minx members. Siyeon said that after minx disbanded, she couldnt listen to any music, nor watch music shows cause she couldnt see other people living her dream, and it took her a long time to recover. She really though her singing career would be over. As her stan i know siyeon is passionate about singing, she literally breathes music, it's clear when you see her performing. I cant imagine how hard it must have been for her.... About the first win, yeah it was stolen. It was not everglow's fault tho. After that, scream didnt get any wins either because we were up against Izone, that is a massive group. After that, during Boca, our best shot was in the show again, but it got cancelled due to sbs staffs having covid. On the other shows we would be up against itzy, which is also a huge group so... yeah. But now handong is finally back, and she has always been our little miracle. So we are hopeful we will get the win the next comeback :)

I've said it before, but as much as it hurts to not get the win, I'm kinda glad they didn't get it for Scream, Black or White, or Boca because of how much it would have burned for their first win to come without Handong there for it...

We have a SHOW PHOBIA now, DEJA VU era was such a nightmare, generally now SHOW has become a nightmare to us as well.. 😭😭😭 Even though they havent won on korea yet, they (HAPPY FACE ENT) kept telling girls , its not your fault, (which JIU mentioned in their fan meeting) and didnt abandon "DREAMCATCHER" which I love about their company...

It's not a phobia; a phobia is an irrational fear - what Somnies have is justified rage... 😉 And I also love that about Happyface; many labels would have abandoned them after their initial lack of success, but Happyface had faith in the girls, recognising that their abilities weren't at fault and that they were worth the investment to try another approach. The girls have a really good relationship with all their staff, right up to the CEO...

25:23 Since that day I have never heard Everglow again and avoid everything that mentions the group. I get really sad and furious with that award. They even sent an "sorry, we miscalculated". I hate The Show with all the strength I have. I talked to some Everglow fans at the time and they said they hated it and said "I want Everglow to win by merit and not because someone bought the vote."

To all this is added the fact that handong traveled to China just after promoting deja vu, to participate in a survival program which was eliminated, And when she packed her bags to return to Korea, the pandemic happened and she was trapped in China. That is why he could not promote Boca. The good thing was that he participated in various events in China. She even collaborated as an actress for a music video for a Chinese group, gaining some popularity after finishing the survival show. And yesterday we found out that handong is already in Korea

In my opinion, Mera labeled the section "Alleged" to not make people upset. It's pretty much confirmed by everyone but SBS themselves that Dreamcatcher indeed should have won. Like you saw in the video, multiple people did the math. Add to that the fact that SBS still have not said a single thing about the matter. Since then, we should have won with Boca, but because of "COVID-19" (according to SBS), the week Dreamcatcher received their highest score , it was cancelled. I personally find that extremely fishy, since the week before nothing was said, and then they were back the week after.

The Show was cancelled the week prior too tho. it also ruined ONF’s biggest chance to get their first win (another group i follow) because it was cancelled during their strongest week aka the week before dc

Now you know why many of us who were around in the Deja Vu era still have PTSD when it comes to SBS and The Sham, I mean, The Show. Unfortunately, the fact that Dreamcatcher don't exactly fit the standard Kpop mold works against them here, as the Industry clearly dislikes anyone who tries to do something new. It is a shame, and these people should be ashamed of themselves, but it is what it is. We should simply support Dreamcatcher more as our reaction! Still, if anyone introduces himself to me as an SBS expert on The Show in 2019, I guarantee for nothing.

Now if you look at the calculations, the words have changed to 'broadcast (show)' preferences rather than 'expert' preferences - that seems to have changed somewhere around Scream era

Just im watching that video for 100 times and im still fasinating how Hardcore Dreamcatcher are just if these thing happened to another girlgroup 100% they will just dissbanded the group but the Dreamcatcher and their fantastic CEO's passion for keeping themself in the industry is just unbelivible, and now they are even can promote their song around the big groups like Blackpink/Twice/ and even BTS. like im so happy that i can see them around these big groups maybe they are not winning yet, but when the day come and they won their first win, they will blow up in the industry.

When Dreamcatcher came to Brazil it was a very happy day for all the insomnias here. The first country outside Asia that they met was mine, I feel very happy.

The Show is dead to me. Tney sabotaged them again for Boca, but did it in a different way by cancelling the episode of The Show the week of their comeback. By putting off the episode for a week, they avoided counting Boca's massive KZbin view count which happened during the first week. They still use 'expert preferences' too which most music shows have stopped doing. Of course it's SBS, the company whose negligence almost cost Red Velvet's Wendy her life, so I don't expect much from them.

If I were to give them the benefit of the doubt, they said they cancelled it that week because of concerns surrounding COVID-19. It very well could have been that someone working there happened to come down with something. Even so, they have a terrible track record with cancellations and shadiness whenever Dreamcatcher have a chance.

@@nerasomnia true, but lets be real here... everything was fine the days before and after when the episode should have happened in that company, and than not counting the views from their comeback week when they let them come to the show and instead only counting the views from the week they were invited is another shitty thing to do. so it culd have been a legitimate thing... but seeing them sabotaged since their piri comback (everytime they had a 0 in epxert preferences) speaks another language

Yeah, I'm highly suspicious of that cancellation and would not at all be surprised that it was done on purpose to deny Dreamcatcher yet again a first win. Even if they never get a win, their popularity is growing and their sales are increasing so it ultimately won't matter but the members want the win so we'll try again next comeback to get that for them. OT7 next time!

Yeah our girls have been through a lot, I have so much respect to them as well. And I'm gonna keep on supporting them until the end. + And yeah we Hate The Show with all our hearts.. Our girls deserve better but if all somnias unite for the next comeback to vote and stream (not only youtube but genie, bugs) we can make their first win happen. But we really have to work hard and together. It surprised me to see on twitter taht there are some somnias that don't really care or tbh are so lazy to do the minimum, its sad and disappointing really.. but well at least I really want them to get what they deserve after all their hardwork and hardships. Hope next time we can make their 1st win happen.

I kinda did as well, though it was more J-EDM in my case; a friend had recommended a Japanese singer to listen to, and the song they said I should check out was called Fly High... needless to say, there were other songs with the same title on the recommendation sidebar, but at the top of it was Dreamcatcher, who I'd never heard of (I wasn't fully into K-pop yet, but I had got into Twice). Something made me click on that link, and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made... 🥰

SO THE FOLLOWING IS AN ALLEGATION WHICH IS SUPPORTED BY SOME PEOPLE WHO KNOW ABOUT THIS . BUT ITS TECHNICALLY NOT AN ALLEGATION CAUSE I HAVE SOME PROOFS SO HERE IT GOES YG ENTERTAINMENT blacklisted DREAMCATCHER cause HAPPY FACE ENTERTAINMENT (Dreamcatcher's company) har filed lawsuit against YG for lose of money related to Woo Jin Young(came first in Mixnine). Like Sm blacklisted JYJ even now they still cant appear on TV, even tho theres a law protecting them from that stuff. of course DC can appear on tv but someone is still holding them back, its not just Yuehua (Everglow's company) that could've had a hand in this be they couldve won multiple times after as you said. Happy face made a statement about why they were suing YG and they basically outed them for extorting money from each participating company, they would all have to individually pay for everything like training/stage outfits even tho it was YG's show. They wanted to stand up to large companies picking on smaller companies, that made me realize they could have a hand in ruining DC's sucess . So as Dreamcatcher got blacklisted by one of Big3 or possibly Mnet too ,YG might have paid SBS The Show as well to prevent dreamcatcher from getting any wins.This explains why something is always suspicious about The show getting either cancelled or not giving Dreamcatcher wins.Remember Happy Face entertainment never proceeded with the lawsuit after filing? We never got any updated about that from either of Happyface's side or YG's side. The matter closed quietly.YG must have done something.This is why The Show mocked Insomnias for the loss of Dreamcatcher's first win and they never updated about the actual win of Dreamcatcher over Everglow even after all these accusations by the fans and non fans and citizens in general with a lot of exposure.All the shows except SBS The Show have released notices about the actual groups winning shortly,Like Oh My Girl over NU'EST and Twice over A.O.A. KBS must be either having the closest assosciation with YG or YG must have targetted and paid SBS as its the smallest Show in which Dreamcatcher can easily get wins. Then recently with BOCA, Dreamcatcher's best chance to win didn't happen because The Show cancelled their episode due to COVID, or a least that's what they say since the issue didn't exist before or they week after when they then had a less of a chance. So, obviously I don't really trust The Show at all at this point. A eventually win seems to be sabotaged each time. This time they didn't have a way to fake the scores of first week as it was evident that DC would win as the only opponent was Oneus as Cravity and Ateez hadn't came back. So they cancelled the show on behalf of saying Covid 😑😷. Who knows the one staff of SBS getting Covid is a fake news to cancel the show as well? The next questionable thing is that after The Show rigged the results for the Everglow win, 4 months later Everglow member Kim Si-hyeon became one of the hosts for The Show. So while Everglow the group shouldn't be blamed, I wouldn't exactly say the same about their company. Seems suspicious to me or a pretty big coincidence. The week after, The Show didn't award a win when Dreamcatcher stood another big chance. They stated it was because The Show was at a festival, but they had awards wins at a Festival before. I would love for DC to manage to get a win on any other shows because they're much more recognized anyway but much harder for smaller groups to get a win on.. and don't even get me started on DC not being invited to SORIBADA AWARDS even though they ranked 4th above other invited groups and Mnet has never invited them to Mama We can't do anything about this right now even if it's true cause of the power YG holds , that might be the reason Happyface withdrew the lawsuit as well. Only thing is to do is focus more on The Show Champion and M- Countdown for first win of Dreamcatcher from Next Comeback.

yeah "everyone focuses on bts..." the sad thing is.. at least in my opinion... they are releasing worse songs with every comeback... the last good song i really liked from them was Mic Drop and from there on every other release was a bit worse than the previous one... fake love is the exception here.. it was so bad no other grp besides BTS would be able to comeback with it and be successfull. that comeback was wholly carried by their name, not by the song. dont get me wrong i think they are really talented and had some epic comebacks, but i just dont like what they are releasing their last few comebacks
