I like how the show honored Princess Diana with this scene, even if the whole scene isn't there. Even if they explored speculation some, the truth was there. I just wish Diana had more time with us.

I do not blame Diana for saying No, I never liked Dodi for her, and his father is too heavily involved in their relationship. Also after her disaster of a relationship to Charles, I would stay single for a while.

Diana simply wanted to be loved, and to love back, as she didn't have that in her marriage. Maybe she didn't need a stable relationship, but she didn't want to be alone and deal with all the hell she was dealing with after the divorce.
