That dolomite beach used to be so polluted from refuse coming from the sea and those dumped by irresponsible people. The past administration reclaimed that section using quarried rocks from cebu. Pollution levels have drastically gone down since then but people are still not allowed to swim because it still poses health risks. But the view of the sunset from there is absolutely beautiful.

This dolomite beach is a part of rehabilitation program of the Manila Bay. Before it used to be full of garbage. Over the years the government did a good job of cleaning the area. People cannot swim yet because of high coliform level. I think by December it will be opened for swimming. I love and I am proud how Filipino people, businesses and government worked hand in hand to bring manila bay back to life!

Hi to you both nice visitors.. FYI, dolomite beach is a product of the brain of a good president and the solidarity of very good people who regularly helped to clean and transform this used to be ugly site into this wonderful place where ordinary people who could not afford to fly to Boracay or palawan or Siargao or to any other beautiful beaches in the Philippines can enjoy the sound and smell and view of a real beach. Also.. You can not swim there because the water still isn't safe to swim. But 40 years ago, it was one of the best in the world. Our manila bay sunset was a tourist attraction but then bad government came one after another for over 30years, it was neglected and squatters built homes around it and u can just imagine what they did in the place. It became one of the dirtiest places in the country and you will avoid passing there due to Its awful smell. But Thanks to the previous gov't who cleaned it and which the present gov't continues to rehabilitate and even extend it untill the mall of Asia. It will soon be the site of different beach activities and hopefully international water sports competitions could also be held in it. That is one of our hopes and wishes.

michael and gigi it's not ready for swimming because it's not finish yet, the big rock is a giant dolomite rock, yes it's a garbage area before, try penoy and balut, it's the exotic food here in the ph you must try it before you leave to make your filipino travel experience fully memorable

Yes Stormy season Manila DOLOBAY is not perfect but it is clean, the problem is that whenever a storm hits Metro manila that's what happened the aftermath so many Hyacinth with bits of trash came over coming from anywhere cause it was surrounded by a buisiness establishments & residential, they put trash boom but did not last, so I think a trash skimmer machine would be best solution, please try to watch some videos last summer Feb/March/April/May it was clean so majestic
