Not next in line...sultan perak adalah yg seterusnya..mengikut sejarah..sultan idris punya giliran selepas sultan ahmad shah...tp disebabkan sultan idris menolak untuk mnjadi agong maka tempat baginda diganti oleh sultan iskandar... Kerana penetapan giliran agong telah diputuskan oleh seniority sultan2 sewaktu kemerdekaan. Sultan idris lahir pd tahun 1924, manakala sultan iskandar pd tahun 1932. Sbbtu sultan nazrin telah menjadi timbalan ydpa sbnyak 2 kali kerana sewaktu sultan Muhammad mnjdi agong timbalan spatutunya disandang oleh sultan ahmad. FYI, the Sultan of Johore is the elder brother of our current Queen of Malaysia, and he will be our next Yang Dipertuan Agong (YDPA, i.e. King of Malaysia) for 5 years, when the current YDPA (i.e. the Sultan of Pahang, and also Sultan of Johore's brother-in-law) completes his 5-years' terms early next year.

Well the Sultanate of Johor has family and diplomatic ties with the Ottoman Sultan for almost 300 years for your information. About 170 years ago the ancestors of the current Sultan went to the Ottoman empire to visit the Ottoman Sultan, they became friend and the Ottoman Sultan send 2 of his Harem from the palace for the Johor Sultan and the Johor Sultan married one of them and the other women was married by a nobleman. Both of them are Circassian in origin if i'm not mistaken.

Johor Sultan’s open house at Istana Besar sees throng of 18,000 visitors as stated in the news. Visitors, including foreign tourists, were making a beeline up to the front gate as early as 7 am before they were allowed to go in at 9 am. of course i voted yes ramly burger for best eid hari raya food...its very rare to find it at open house.
