Not only does she have some songs that really set the scene like “DENIAL IS A RIVER,” she’s got some fun bops like “NISSAN ALTIMA.” This project showcases her versatility perfectly & definitely shows Doechii is here to stay, and has successfully released the best female rap project right now.

Docheii never fails to surpise me, especially with this project. I heard a view snippets of her songs on TSR and I had to check out the project. It's AMAZING. Out of all the projects dropped this year, this has to be one of my favorites. Docheii reminds me so much of Missy Elliot, with the way she carries herself and her visuals. Along with a mix of Doja and Nicki as well with her lyricism and how versatile she can be. I'm for certain she will be the next IT girl for female rap. I think I just found my new favorite female rapper.

I don't know if it's mentioned but "Rocket" gets me together!!! It's not on the mixtake, but it goes! It's a "Sprite" endorsed track. The island vibes on it, just brightens my spirit. I personally feel Doechii already has GOOD songs, people just need to support her more heavily. She's not just displaying her talent, she already has both GREAT songs and displays her talent.

Such a dope review! The songs are short for a reason. They were a part of a quick series she did on her KZbin called “Swamp Sessions”, where she challenged herself to write songs in a short period of time. The mixtape is also meant to be a holdover for the Swamp, before she release the album. I loved Doechii since I was introduced to her in early ‘22, but she been my favorite mainstream artist since she released “she/her/black bitch”. People make a lot of comparisons, but fr, she really in her own lane and is her own artist. She is naturally what many artists try to be or force themselves to be. My favorite from “Alligator Bites Never Heal” is DEATH ROLL, but it’s a no-skip project for me.

You can see so many of her inspirations dropped through the mixtape too, which is one of the reasons I enjoyed the album so much on the first listen. Second listen I was really hearing her and thats when I got really excited- I especially loved the breathing on Denial is a River. You can tell she is just bursting with ideas and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Her & Doja Cat (even though I don’t listen to her anymore) are top students from the school of Nicki Minaj.
