I have now had failure on 2 of the 4 bays, the well known problem with the plastic posts that hold the springs in place breaking. I opened it up and repaired it using small cable ties, I then noticed that the other 2 posts had broken but not yet given way so I repaired those as well. Total time to repair about an hour which also included adding grease to the sliding mechanisms.

Thanks but beware the build quality of this charger is questionable. I had to recycle mine a few years ago.

It has the same look with the hitec x4 advanced pro, maybe they come from the same manufacturer

I just hope it’s going to be a bit better as I’ve now got 2 bays that don’t work because of broken posts and springs that have become disconnected. Time to take it apart and fix it.

hi after 8 months of use, how can you say about the durability? does the fan still working? does all the spring still works? terminals charging accuracy?

Hi Gary, the answer is yes but I’m reality I’m not using it all that much. Probably only 2-3 times a month. This is because my situation has changed since my original review and I’m Not using as many rechargeables as I used to.

You need to use the Eneloop setting but slightly adjust the capacity to reflect the Pro’s.

What is the difference between the Eneloop and NiMH setting as I thought the chemistry was the same?

Yes the chemistry is the same but from the manual • Eneloop - Not really a battery type but a brand name. Market leading professional grade NiMH- based low self-discharge industrial standard superior battery product originally made in Japan by Sanyo or FDK, now by Panasonic and also in China. The charging algorithm is the same as for NiMH but some options in SPV (Slot programming view) have been adapted for more convenient presets. Can be cycled 2100 times according to claims in ads; visit eneloop.com or also eneloop101.com for further info. Hope that helps

Any idea how to get the discharge AND charge capacity with this charger for aa nimh and 18650s?

I have FW firmware version: 1.14, HW hardware version: ⩾2.2, 2 fans. That is, for example, I put on the refresh 4 acc ni-mh the discharge current in my cases is 0.2C, that is, for each slot 0.49 A, and when the temperature rises during the discharge, the fan starts to spin (one, and not both), although during power-on There are self-tests for a few seconds both coolers are spinning. During discharge, do you have both coolers spinning on the SKYRC MC3000? Who has the same problem?

I gave up on this, last week I noticed that the screw posts had broken and it was starting to open up. I tried to fix that problem but then it started playing up badly. It’s gone to be recycled.

I have eneloop 2000 mAh. Which setting should I use with this charger?

Use the eneloop setting, charge at 1amp, discharge at 500ma.

I’ve now had the issue with the post that the spring is hooked around snapping. Don’t leave batteries in longer than you need to, it puts too much stain on the pathetic plastic posts.

knewideas: Thanks for your review and the info related to the weak spot in the battery bay/spring attachment. Hope I don'n encounter the issue to early. I just updated to FW 1.14 and I'm quite satesfied with it so far. Would have appreciated though if it was capable of dischargeing the battery cells @ 2A. Mine only reaches 1A, even though the Android App has settings up til 2A. Might be the HW version causing the limitation. Any experience with this? Regards Torgeir
