Thanks. We have a rigid hull inflatable and a C Tug but never thought to use the two together

Thank you Quentin, I’m considering adding these to my inflatable boat.

I own two C tugs both models for sand and harder surfaces, absolutely brilliant for a super heavy rigid kayak they easily hold a 100kg and roll too ok but sand us an issue with them , but no metal parts to rust is great 👍

Hi Quentin, no idea you had such a great channel, i'm subscribed!! Those wheels would certainly be an option for the Seahopper. I have been trying to think about making one on my own, however I have been trying to base it on the Porta-bote clip on style wheels and struggling a lot with that. I never thought to use a strap!!! Will definitely take a look at those C-tug kits though, may be just the thing.

Hi Quentin do you have any idea if this trolley would be suitable for inflatable kayaks?

I would have thought only if they were pretty rigid... but the inflatable kayak I used to have was a tandem one so I think of that. If you had a single, or if you had a micro-stitched one (with the rigid panels like a stand-up paddleboard), then you would probably be fine.

Hi Quentin, I would like to see how you fit the wheels onto the boat while on the water and approaching the the slip for landing. I am looking at the Seago dinghy Dolly wheels with the quick release bracket mounted to the transom, but difficult to come by in South Africa.

Hi there - Ah, I don't have any cunning technique for this, but it would be fun to try. I think these wheels are usually used on kayaks and other things that are small enough for you to take them out of the water and then put them onto the wheels. I think I have threaded the straps underneath while it was still afloat, but I was standing in the water on the slipway at the time. It would be interesting to try dropping them over the bow while holding onto the straps, and then bringing them back down the boat as you float over them, but I think it would be hard to know you had got them lined up well...! Has anyone tried the Alfonso in the sea with outboard motor to tell us his opinion and if the boat has any problem? Thanks a lot....

Hi Vagelis - I've taken ours a little way off shore with our electric outboard, but it was in very calm conditions. Also on large estuaries. It's great fun and worked nicely, but I've never tried it in big waves. Quentin
