Love a good t-shirt knit. Although, I would use fingering weight as it has more of a t-shirt feel fabric as opposed to a "sweater" feel that a sport or dk weight would give. I'm not about how fast I can get it done, but whether how often I would wear it once finished. Great video with lots to think about in design features!

Hello, just caught you. I have knit the free pattern, The Perfect Knit Tee shirt in Knit Picks CotLin yarn. It was a good fit, just about 2 in positive ease, the icord on neck was good but needed to add more stitches to bottom icord to keep it from rolling. It works from the spring to the fall here in Florida. I keep looking into my stash to see what other yarns I could knit it with as I don’t have that many DK weight yarns personally. I enjoyed your research and the pointers you brought up, thank you for sharing. 😊

Great video. I love knitted tees. I've knit 10 different patterns in the last few years (and a few patterns multiple times). One of my favorites is the Rock It Tee, which I plan to knit again in just one fingering yarn (vs as designed w/ mohair stripes). The Classic Tee (by Kay Hopkins) may meet your preferences - I've knit the v-neck version. I'm also test knitting the Tolsta Tee & loving it so far. I added the Seedling Tee to my favorites - thanks!

Thank you for the great review. New to your channel. As I am watching your video, I'm in the process of knitting my second Lea by Novita Tee. I knit another one last year, and wasn't sure about the boat neckline (I have braod shoulders) but I liked the end result. My second take on this design is with some, reclaimed cotton yarn from a commercial sweater that I unraveled. The yarn is much finer, but the simple construction (it's a true T shape) makes it easy to change the gauge. I also have patterns to knit the Perfect Tee and the Cumulus. I am curious as to why you did not like knitting the Cumulus. Was it too long to knit? My daughter knit it last year, and as I de from taking long due to the small gauge, I don't believe she had any issues. You provided some interesting options, I like the Square Tee (square necklines flatter my figure) and the Novita top that you recommended is really pretty. Going to add these to my queue 👍 I would to love to find out what yarns you use for summer tops. I also find wool is a too warm for summer.

Wow, loved this video, thank you. Got a new viewer out of me. I actually made Original Lovely's Perfect Crochet Tee (just because I liked the stitch pattern more than the knit one), but hoo boy the Coboo yarn kind of ruined it XD The gauge is almost impossible to get, and after blocking it stretched and is more lacy, so I have to wear something underneath the shirt (like a tank or something), and as a result, it makes it so warm that it's not a great Summer tee...which was the whole point. Sigh. VERY impressed with that Riley Tee, I have been struggling to find something that actually looks like a good Summer wear that isn't a lacy top to put over something else or isn't a tank itself. I'm currently working on a DK weight v-neck "sweater" in an acrylic blend that feels like it will be perfect for my Canadian Spring-to-Summer-time, but when the seasons change, the stuff you want to make always follows along.

Spoke too soon? I completed the 81st row in the pattern, and although that should and does make the pattern over 11 1/2 inches at that point,(28 rows/4"=7 rows/inch, right? At that point, the pattern says to continue to knit more rows in order to reach 10 inches.

Hi , well the Cumulus is still on my list, and now I question myself what is so bad about the knitting?🤔
@annmariebusu9924 Жыл бұрын
@yarnshortstories for me it was the gadge, yarn and raglan stich. I converted my increases to yarn over just so I could see. The raglan stich placement was something I had to get used to. Also the increase was not the same each row and I had trouble keeping track but mostly it took forever to join in the round. I definitely love the finished product. Better planning would have helped. It just wasn't fun. I have knitted another top that took forever to get to the round but it was still fun.

It was a mix of the yarn i chose (very splitty) and how much work it was to knit up a fingering weight shirt 😂 the pattern is good it’s just a commitment
