I don’t understand why we’re trying to sympathize with a rapist. No matter how long you know them and love them, that person needs to be cancelled. Chuckie first said he’d try to talk. How does a conversation with a rapist look like? Its not like he did a minor thing where nobody got hurt. These men force themselves between women’s legs. We can’t just “hope” for them to become better person. I guess this the kind of energy/ logic all the people around R. Kelly had which enabled him to cause more hurt and terror. We’ll find excuses until it’s our daughters, siblings who are the victims. Smdh

Rape and murder are not the same. Because you can murder someone in self defense, you can murder someone who if they had the chance they would murder you. You just got to them first. The same cannot be said of rape. Most people who commit killings in an urban setting aren’t doing it to innocent people usually most crimes are as a result of gang/drugs etc. we do look at someone killing an INNOCENT person almost as bad as we view rape. But usually those types of events are mistaken identity or stray casualties.

i really liked hearing the Margs guy perspective and how it is bias to let off SOLO 45. at the end of the day, i believe the women and there is evidence being shown in court. why would 4 different women, be accusing one man of rape (which btw is penetration of the mouth or vagina without consent). what would they gain from this all? solo 45 is 100% guilty and no one can justify why he isn't. he has videos on his own phone abusing women and the angle his laywer is taking that it was all "consensual sexual acts"

@@DVSPDC listen, i work within the legal system and i see on a daily basis CONVICTED rapists and paedophiles be let off with a small fine or a very small sentence. these things are not taken that seriously by judges or the legal system as it's corrupt as fuck. so no matter if he gets found guilty or not, i will stand by the women as the legal system fail women and children all the time as they favour the abusers. they would rather lock up a drug dealer or a fraudster for years. i understand you're saying he needs to be found guilty first but a lot of cases of rape get thrown out of court due to lack of evidence as it is so hard to prove rape unless you go to a hospital/police station straight after being raped and get the rape test kit. that barely ever happens due to the embarrassment and fear of doing that, so you can understand why it doesn't happen. but why mustn't we believe these women? when we have four against one, when it happens on a daily basis to all different women (from different men), when this is not something out of the ordinary? why is it so easy for you to jump the defence of a man who has been accused of 22 counts of rape but you can't have the same energy for the women? please also consider the fact that the police found evidence of him abusing the women on his own phone. this is exactly what is wrong with the world and society at the moment.

Chuckie Morals matter, you shouldn’t have to wait 30years with tons of compounding evidence to talk about/ condemn a sexual abuse case. The silence of men around these types of crimes like rape continue to occur. Zooming out from solo45 it would be great if you did speak about misogyny and the abuse of women and girls on your show regardless because obviously we know that it is a problem within grime/ black music industry in Britain and throughout society. There is a culture in society failing to protect and believe women/girls especially if they are black when it comes to abuse. As black men you need to show that you care about your counterparts.

Ultimately I think the missed concept here is the fact that who you surround yourself with is a reflection of yourself. If you choose to hold someone in high regard as a friend/ in business together (for this example BBK), even if you are not involved in their poor actions, they are damaging to your credibility as well as in business your brand. To be silent on matters like this when it comes to sexual assault isn't good enough. It happens too often here in the UK and abroad in the USA. Black women will march for black men, in the name of police brutality because black lives matter. But for some reason a significant proportion of men in the black community, will not raise their voices to support black women when it comes to the issue of sexual assault.

Kasabian spoke out about domestic violence when their singer was convicted of DV, and they expressed sympathy for the victim. Lost Prophets spoke out against Ian Watkins, and they addressed the fact that people believed that they knew about his crimes and made it clear that they didn't. In the emo/ rock scene there have been quite a few bands who've had members accused of sexual assault/ harassment against fans, even underage fans- their band members spoke out against it. And there was a conversation about misogyny in the emo/ rock scene and about power imbalance with female fans. BBK could have at the very least expressed sympathy for the victims. What Solo did was Ted Bundy level evilness, this is a guy who clearly despises women and enjoys degrading and harming them. This wasn't someone on a gun or drug change. Someone like this guy, cannot be changed or 'helped'. He's a danger to women and IMO should never ever be let out. The fact that a group of men went on a podcast to discuss whether they'd still be friends with a convicted rapist, shows we have along way to go. THIS is male privilege, right here. No way would a woman want any rapist around her or any other women. They are lucky they don't have to fear predatory men.

It is not about condemning an individual. It is about what are the solutions that can be put in place to prevent rape and other forms of sexual assault?...also cutting a person off for rape does not solve the problem. Would you agree that if your close friend raped someone, and went jail for it and they get released early. Would you agree that there is a 50/50 chance they would repeat the act?...so correct us if we are wrong, but as a friend other than trying talk to your friend that they need to be doing better. Would it not be better to help them get psychological help? We know Margs said there is context for murder and something similar to not knowing the situation if one of his friends hits their women if it was warranted. However would you agree that it still applys to rape. On the basis of the build up that led to that action. Such has all involved suffering from #PoorEducationSyndrome on subjects like Sex, Roles and Relationships? When you think about it this is often the root cause in our humble opinion and it is something that needs to taught properly, one will always react different based on what one is taught or what one has experienced, do you agree or what are your thoughts?

The whole movement is about being dominant and macho the name of the group alone tells you that...some of them are about entertainment maybe but when your involved with gangs who have that mindset that they are number ones it will boost your ego and narcissism 10 fold....there’s also to many people with bigger egos than there talent and lots of them are not even international ...

I honestly think the culture needs to focus on what it truly is, a collection of art forms that are expresses our identity as a people. A lot of ‘the culture’ is black people and black artists expressing themselves, but it was just that, expression. Now it is a platform for virtue signalling and worse still an excuse for escapism. It seems people don’t want the burden of going out there and confronting the issues with their own lives that they want to preoccupy themselves with these controversies. Why does the culture need to condemn him, is it there to be a judicial system? Is it there to be a judicial system when artists kill? We celebrate the murderers, dealers, addicts and abusers and have for years but now ‘the culture’ supposed to take the moral high ground in-between songs of promiscuity, substance abuse and violence. It’s not a question of picking and choosing when we feel a type of way about particular crimes, it’s about understanding that this culture isn’t for that - but now that so many people see social media and entertainment as all encompassing entities we seem unable to confront these issues in the most appropriate and effective manner.

I don't understand why there's any debate over whether you'd still be friends with a rapist. As a woman, if I found out that a male friend had been accused of rape, especially with all the evidence they had on Solo of the torture- there is no way in hell I'd try and 'talk to them'. I'd be to fucking scared!! Any woman would be! I would not want any man near me that could be a danger to women. Yes I would wait to hear the evidence, but still, I'd keep my distance in the meantime. And the evidence they had on Solo was fucking scary! This is serial killer/ Ted Bundy territory. This isn't some roadman type behaviour where you can try and turn them around. The least BBK could have done is speak out to show sympathy to the victims or praise their bravery and wish them healing. Lots of bands speak out when one of their own are convicted to heinous crimes- Lost Prophets spoke out about Ian Watkins- of course they weren't aware of his crimes but they spoke out against him. Same with Kasabian- they spoke out and showed sympathy for the victim, and condemned the singer's behaviour.

I think self recorded videos of non consensual sex is enough to condemn the man at this point. It ain't one woman ls word against his, its 4 separate woman on 4 separate occasions. Dude, the fucker is guilty as charged
