So we already know that it's very possible if not confirmed that companies are paying people to promote projects on an nft platform they have financial stakes in without disclosing it maxread.substack.com/p/mapping-the-celebrity-nft-complex here's the article

@@kai_fatallysapphic considering that nfts have no inherent value beyond what they sell for, they shouldn't be considered "art". collectibles maybe, but that term veils the pretty sinister nature of nfts. not to mention that nft "artists" often trace or steal art from other people, only to sell it as their own. so no, nfts are not art in any way.

@@authoraves I think South Park could argue that Dink Doink is purposely confusing audiences into thinking it's affiliated with South Park and take action there. That it's not a clear enough "parody". I'm pretty sure the celebrities might have some options as well for using their voices. Especially if the voices are ripped from a comedy special or podcast. Considering how long it's been since they posted perhaps action has already been taken privately. Or the fact they have such a small audience it wasn't even noticed or considered worth the effort.

That's seriously shocking. The Mouse does NOT play. They've developed these stage versions of classic Mouse movies like "Cinderella". They're pared down to be used in Children's Theatre. Well, several years ago I was the production manager for one of these and dear god I felt like I was signing over my damn life. At shows like that you're supposed to hold two seats in the event that the place you got the rights from decide to come to the show as in come make sure what's on your contract is what's up in person (like capacity, unlicensed copies of posters or the script/libretto, all of the things.) They do not travel to the far away from New York place where this theatre is. TBH I don't even know if they ever check in on places. But Disney? The fines were so extreme if you broke ANY part of the contract, we would have had to cancel the rest of that season and all of the next. (Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but it was still a crap ton.) And every single night I was prepared in the event that someone showed up. Only show I've ever worried over for that reason. Dumb Mouse. tl;dr How TF is the Simpsons-y thing still up?!

The site is basically a bunch of premade settings, props, animations and characters that you can use to create a video. However, everything in the Dink Doink video is a default template. The idea of an actual podcast being animated and having a cartoon host would be fine if it was something that was actually good and the people were actually on the podcast. Like Space Ghost Coast to Coast, where people were actually there for the interview, that was a great show. This would've been fine if they just came up with an original art style, got celebrities that are into crypto to actually be available for an interview, and then just animated it in a way that wasn't like Sam's Choice South Park. But then I guess it wouldn't be a NFT related project if it was original and looked good.

The spring guy seems like a knock off towlie from south park. Maybe that wouldnt have been so noticeable if they didnt also steal the south park art style 🤔

All they did here is make the South Park version of the Microsoft Word paperclip, and then try to get other people to use their awful character concept, and this was somehow going to make them money. This is truly the spirit of collect underpants -> ? -> profit

This video more than any other has made me feel certain this is a game of sims and Logan Paul just has level 6 charisma and just did a “risky present product” action on the new dildo coin

I don't know if it is just me, but the background music was too loud and a little bit distracting (at the beginning of your video). But it may be just me being neurodivergent. Love your videos tho xoxo

i cant believe they straight up made a shitty version of south park. already a show that most people think is divisive for its humour and quality already. super good idea

I saw an article by NPR that said the U.S. is talking about adopting a digital version of the dollar. I guess china is also already experimenting with a digital yuan. An india is apparently also developing a digital rupee. Very interesting stuff
