When you are young your hormones are out of control and like Mama Loyal said, you just want to have fun. However, to me as I hit my earlier 20s I started thinking about sex spiritually. You are really connecting with that being, their emotions, feelings, and yes I agree intimacy is kissing, touching, so using a condom is safe but you are still connecting. I started thinking wow, I am attracting that person’s past trauma to mine. So I really started watching who I connected with and if I wanted to attract that particular trauma in my life. Sex is deeper than people think and when you understand you this you try to limit your self and try and find that one partner that you can connect with that brings out the best in you and you them and you see past lust and temptations. I think that this is a very nuanced topic to say the least as there’s so many angles to it. I think for women, those who are or were very promiscuous, it’s very discouraging to hear men say they wouldn’t want a woman with that history as it comes off as judgmental. This is where much of the debate comes in as far as why they should be accepted. The thing about it, and they know this deep down, is that they can’t force a man to want them given their history of being promiscuous. Truthfully, no one can force another to want them. That’s the reality of finding that special someone or even just a person to have fun with. The talking points and debates are really methods to get someone in the dating & mating game.
