Жыл бұрын

Before LeBron James passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar last night as the league’s all-time leading scorer, he talked about where he sees himself among the all-time greats of the game. LeBron said quote: 'I feel like I'm the best basketball player that ever played the game. That's just my confidence, that's just what I bring to the table, what I possess. But as far as if the scoring record gets me to another level, I don't know.' Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe debate on whether passing Kareem closes the case on LeBron being the GOAT or not.

Anthony Davis is a mole. He scored 13 points on one of the Lakers’ biggest nights of all time, when the team and LaBron needed you most! SMH He’s garbage and played like he found out LeBron ok’d a trade which would have involved him for Kyrie or something. That game was the most watched game in NBA history with viewers around the world captivated and you put up 13??! Against a team struggling to get into the play-in tourney?? They need to take his top 75 spot and give it to Dwight Howard frfr

Because Shannon's points make zero sense. "Jordan couldn't beat the Celtics" It was his 2nd year in the league and he was coming off a broken foot, he played like 18 games before the playoffs. And the 86 Celtics are one of the greatest teams of all time. And MJ still torched them. His 63 points in Game 2 still stands as the most points in a playoff game to this day. Bruh was in year 2. Whereas LeBron didn't even make the playoffs his 2nd year in the league. Nonsensical point LeBron was a better 3 point shooter. Jordan played in an era where 3s weren't taken nearly as much. Go look at guys like Reggie Miller and Chris Mullin and Bird and compare their stats to today's players. Steph and Dame are taking 11, 12 3pointers a game now. It's completely ridiculous to even bring that up.

@@dc4690 Jordan never won again without Phil, but Phil won without Jordan, so was it Jordan or was it Phil who brought the success? At the end of the day Coaching plays a pivotal role in winning championships. Clearly Jordan couldn't even make any team a contender if the coaching wasn't there meanwhile any team LeBron steps on is always seen as a contender even if the coaching is subpar. Jordan won those titles on the strength of coaching and the team around him. How good was Jordan without those guys? Did they even sniff the conference finals again?

Because he’s NOT losing, and Shannon is just yelling to make his point sound right. Everything that Skip is saying is factual. MJ has done a lot more than Lebron in a lot less time. The only reason Lebron even has the all time points leader title is because Jordan retired twice while still in his prime. Those 10 scoring titles over the course of 13 yrs (really 11 full yrs) with the Bulls is a lot more impressive.

It's not that Jordan won the 10 scoring titles. It's that he lead the league in scoring every year he won a championship. And sometimes also lead the league in steals. And was on the all-defensive teams. While winning titles. If Jordan was scoring a lot and losing earlier in his career, the point is this: He took a step back from scoring (a bit) to integrate his teammates in the triangle... because he knew that in order to separate himself from Magic and Bird, he needed to win championships. LeBron going after the all-time records now - and emphasizing the longevity benchmarks - when the Lakers are losing, is like Jordan's career going backwards.

Per game all time at his position Lebron is 1st ast,2nd pts,9th stl,13th reb & 17th in blk. That’s top 5 in two categories, top 3 in two categories.Great but not on MJ’s level clearly.Especially his defensive and rebounding numbers. The only category Lebron better’s MJ relative to their position is assist. We all already knew/know that because that is the ONLY thing Lebron has ever ‘had on MJ’. MJ is #1 all-time in P.E.R. in both regular season and playoffs. He’s #1 all-time in win shares per game in both regular season and playoffs. He’s #1 all-time in BPM in both regular season and playoffs. He’s #1 all-time in VORP per game in both regular season and playoffs. He has the most scoring titles all-time. He made the most all-def 1st teams all-time. He lead the league in scoring and made all-def 1st team at the same time 9 times. Lebron,Kareem,Wilt,Russell,Bird,Magic,Kobe,Hakeem,Shaq,Steph,Kd,Giannis,Jokic combined never did it once. Not one time. MJ has the most trophies all-time with 22 in 1,072 games. For context Bill Russell and his 11 championships is 2nd all-time with 17 trophies in 963 games. Lebron is 3rd all-time with 16 in 1,407 games so far. Kareem is 4th all-time with 15 trophies in 1,560 games. There is no debate...except for the fake one nick wright and shannon sharpe have been pushing for yearS now.

winning on single team is way harder because you can't just reset because you either win now or build for future. Lebron left cavs to team up with prime dwade and cbosh. When they were aged and old, he left them and teamed up with young kyrie (1st overall pick) and Klove. Then he left again to team up with AD. It's so much easier to just reset and team up with another great talent than staying in one place and hope that things fall perfectly.

But it should end...it should’ve never started. Per game all time at his position MJ is 1st pts,1st blk,2nd stl,3rd reb & 5th in ast. That’s top 5 in every category, top 3 in 4 outta 5 categories. He’s the only player in nba history to accomplish that. There is no debate...except for the fake one nick wright and shannon sharpe have been pushing. Acknowledge reality.

That’s all the stuff they won’t tell you in their ‘debates’... All that info is why no matter how much they lie and tell partial truths and are hypocrites on anything MJ,still every time they poll the people it comes back 75-80% for MJ...We all know this stuff.Lebron fans refuse to do their homework and learn it as well. All that info is why MJ fans are the way they are.Not saying that justifies the jackasses out there, but this is why you can’t tell an MJ fan anything. If the tv clowns told the damn truth their would’ve never been a debate about who the goat is. Lebron can’t even comprehend playing at the level MJ did...As you can see, nobody could. He’s the goat...and it’s not close or an opinion...obviously.

Shannon going crazy about career FG percentages like he doesn’t already know it doesn’t determine who’s the better shooter/scorer. If it does then MJ’s a better shooter than Steph because he has a higher career fg%,lmao. How bout NO...And y’all know who I’m a fan of! But that’d be just ridiculous to think that. And MJ’s is 2+ % points higher than stephs,Lebron’s is only 0.7 higher than MJ’s and his 3-point fg% is 1.7 higher and yet shannon’s screaming for that to be acknowledged like it’s some point for his argument...🤦🏾‍♂️Wow.Either way he’s exposing himself. The he’s going on about Phil Jackson.Phil hadn’t even won a game yet let alone a championship when he became coach of the Bulls. He *became* the Phil Jackson👀 everyone know’s now by coaching prime MJ,Shaq & Kobe.He didn’t show up to Chicago like that,lol...And of course Shannon knows this as well, but he wants y’all to be like “👀oh see that’s not fair,Lebron didn’t have that kind of coach” or whatever type of argument like that. He uses the younger gens ignorance about MJ to tell lies and be a hypocrite about his career because he’s mad at him personally. Him and nick wright both know all the facts I posted about MJ...but when have you ever heard either of em mention any of it? All they say is the “6-0 finals...assassin/killer” shtick? They are professional emotionally animated hypocrite liar clowns (on anything MJ).

@@MM-oj2pf False, There were several instances where Jordan had a weaker conference than LeBron. He played in one of the weakest era’s in basketball. An expansion league era. An era where Jordan made the playoffs several times as a 32 win team. Whereas a 32 win team in todays era is below the 10th seed. And he wasn’t making just the 8th seed as a 32 win team, but also the 7th seed. 2017 New York Knicks won 31 games and finished 12th. MJ made the playoffs with losing record 3 consecutive seasons. In 5 of his 6 NBA finals from 1992 to 1998 he faced a team that had fewer Hall of Famers than his own Chicago Bulls team. LeBron has beaten way more hall of famers than Jordan ever did

You just proved his point. When hank Arron broke the record. No one cared. No one said hank Arron is now the best ever. It was longevity bs. Everyone got it. 1 scoring title, 1 assist title. Holding the ball all game. No one could do that right? No they chose to actually let their team do certain things. That’s being a team player. Lebron chased rings and still came up short. No three peats. Both runs in 06 and 18 were a joke. He played one hofer in both runs combined! Malone in one playoff, played and beat; Hakeem, Barkley, drexler, Tom Duncan, David Robinson, Kobe, and shaq. Who also had two more all stars in nick v and Eddie Jones. And they were the plumbers? If you kids knew ball, they couldn’t fool you with such stupidity.

Let’s say Lebron goes to college 3 years, what is he gonna learn under a coach that he needed? The dude would have won 3 straight national championships off raw talent alone. He averaged 20 points a game as a rookie out of HS. Imagine him playing against college players. It’s over. Jordan needed every year he got in college cause he just wasn’t that good and needed a coach to get him there. Lebron needed a coach like Phil in his career and he would have won a title much earlier than he did. Luckily Wade came along to teach him how to win.

To Shannon and all others who think “MJ had a historically great coach in Phil Jackson”, please remember that before Phil coached MJ, he hadn’t won as a coach at the NBA or even at the high school or college level. He was hired as an assistant coach, who was then promoted as a head coach. Stop using that against MJ because before he won with Jordan, he hadn’t won anything in the NBA as a coach at all. 🤷🏻‍♂️
