This is just a bit comforting as a father of 5. Especially as Liberal as California is. Thank you for this post.

Hoss V11 I wish the politics of this state would change but sadly we have illegal immigrants & people that are ignorant/stupid that’ll vote for stupid laws because either they’re illegal &a can’t use their own brain to think for themselves.

Caught my landlord in my home one night when I came on. He ran out the the front door as i was walking up and into me. We both fell down. After realizing who it was I didn't call the cops and he ran. He called the cops on me and now I'm charged with battery and witness intimidation amd he's the one that broke into my home. My landlords boyfriend was in my home without notice and now I'm in trouble. Unreal

Why cant Californians use the 14th amendment to bare the same arms publicly that Police use to protect themselves. The States Regulatory authority seems to violate both the 2nd and the 14th amendment and even the 9th amendment since certainly the Right to self defense although unnumerated certainly is a Right that NO State Regulation may infringe upon???

Reduced or dismissed, are you kidding me? they broke into my house and I am going to plea bargain.

Just because someone broke into your house doesn’t mean you can do anything and everything you want to them. Sure, if they’re a threat to your safety or someone else, you can probably shoot them but I just saw a story of a guy who had his house invaded by an unarmed couple, and he said they jumped on him, but he grabbed his gun and they went running. He said they took off through the back door and the man was faster and was able to get away but he said the woman was begging for her life and told him she was pregnant and while running away, he said he shot her in the back twice anyway and killed her. That’s not an open and shut case for him. Remember, the law says the force must be reasonable. If the person is running away and is outside and you shoot them twice in the back, you might get charged for that since the person you killed is no longer a threat. There are many reasons you can be charged for doing something to someone who broke in. Use your imagination. Imagine if you pull the gun on them and they put their hands up and beg for their lives and you have them get on their knees, get behind them and shoot them execution style. That’s not reasonable force. You become the assailant at that point because the person is no longer a threat. What if you make them your prisoner and torture them physically/sexually for weeks? You are now the assailant. There are many other examples. Just because someone breaks into your house doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want to them, hence why you can be charged. It depends on what happened. The lawyer didn’t lay out all the situation where you can be charged, but there are some

@Gennady_Josan Thanks for the comment. It's tough times right now and we understand your frustration. But remember that delivery people do not want to be out there either, they are performing a dangerous and necessary service. The castle doctrine was created to protect us from dangerous criminals who are breaking laws, and not law-abiding citizens. Please subscribe to our videos if you have not already, and we look forward to making more videos in the future about this subject. Thanks!

I’m not a fan of the laws, but that’s a little hyperbolic. I had no issue getting my handguns or rifles and they’ll be very effective defending my home…just wish I could have standard mags.
