People saying 'no sound' I'm aware there is a KZbin Bug that doesn't feed sound along with downloading the image 🤷♂️ I'd suggest try a different device or leave it till tomorrow

2014 sdr has the adjustment aswell. Mine was set closer to my body. I moved it closer to the front and i like that way more. Way less head shake. So your video is spot on!

After moving the handle bars nearer I swapped them back again to stock position. Reasons were as you mention found the bike more unstable especially into corners👍

I also had my bars moved to the "comfort" possition. And indeed the front feels alot less stable when accelerating (hard)

As for the power cutting out for a split second, it's either traction control or anti wheelie that's causing it. Try it with them turned off.
@michaelmenard Жыл бұрын
That's true. In the video, you can see the traction control light for a split second.

The cutting power problem is most likely due to the fact you touched the shifter lever enough to engage the quickshifter so letting it thinking you are shifting (so cuts of power) but in reality you are not. It happened to me twice on my sdr 2.0 but I realized my foot position when that happened and it never happened to me again. If you are 100% sure you don't have your foot near the shift lever while it does that, I don't know what could be.. ps. what camera are you using? I like the quality!

That would be the obvious answer, however my foot was on the peg at the time, very odd. Seems to be behaving since its first service

I think its when the wheel comes off the floor when accelerating, the TC kicks in. If you go over a little bump
@tyke30842 жыл бұрын
Could it be the traction kicking in? Had a similar experience on my Tuono accelerating over rumble strips, just cut the engine, nearly pitched me over the bars!

I changed both the position. that I bought from ktm to raise the handlebar by 1.5 cm ,,,, it is fantastic

Was told to put gear oil in the dampener and the head shake is better.

My SDR does that quick loss off power for a second now and again, seems to do it if its been near or at the limiter but no idea what it is You can drop the bike non the forks a line or two and it will put a little more weight on the front wheel, hope that helps

Is it more agile with this setting or only more comfortable

Several people have had bad tank slappers. I would suggest your next mod be a Damper. As for the engine cutting, has it only started since you adjusted the handlebars?
@sergeantsodom69692 жыл бұрын
It has a damper, I'm not too concerned about slappers- I'll leave why to myself and nope Cheers for the comment!

KTM doesn't seem so smooth as your ST especially in corners or was it the rd conditions 🤔

Think You must be touching the gear lever but not changing gear Thars why it's cutting the power
@sergeantsodom69692 жыл бұрын
That would be the obvious conclusion, however on having this happen a load of times now, my foot has never been near the shifter - I've had it happen just cruising around a few times as well as under more load like this video. First thought then was "Is the shifter loose" if the wind and downforce are causing it to move it enough to start to trigger the kill timing on the quickshifter.- However everything is snug- Keeping an eye on it.

I've never owned a bike with a hydraulic clutch. Could you give me some feedback about feel, engagement point, etc. about the differences?
@RobertSmith-lh6hg2 жыл бұрын
I'm on my first hyd clutch bike on my Z H2 after many Triumphs that had cable. Nothing major, just easier pull and otherwise no dramas. Smooth engagement, good feedback, good friction zone. Yes it's one more fluid and more seals to monitor but you lose the chance of a broken cable so same same really.
