puerto rican chinese is way different than regular chinese food. they tend to add their latin flavor into the food

I didn't taste any Latin Inspiration there. Wonder if there are better spots to try Puerto Rican Chinese Food in Central FL

These restaurants are using only cheap leg and thighs,not everyone likes dark meat...If you want to charge extra for White meat,that's fine,most fried chicken franchise does,but not offering it is stupid,i am sure you will gain more customers if you do Alvin's...

I've heard this argument come up many times, but for me if you're not willing to eat the whole animal, then that is a problem. The animal has given up it's life so that you can continue to enjoy yours. On a chicken, the dark meat is the most flavorful because that's where most of the fat is on it's body. Fat is what makes your taste buds dance when you eat something and that is exactly why restaurants throw 5 lbs of butter in your meal before it arrives to your table. Butter in the steak, butter in the potatoes, butter in the caramelized onions...etc... One of Japan's most iconic dishes, Chicken Terriyaki is made with Chicken Thighs and people all around the world enjoy that dish.

@@HungryPolarBear I have nothing against dark meat,it's a texture thing with me,reason i don't eat organs and game meats...I have very sensitive taste buds,reason i was a wine buyer for celebrities and famous wine stores in NYC..

You just ruining our local family spots gassing them up and making them run prices up....stay on idrive bro...

I'm not following your logic here? I'm not even sure if you've watched any of my videos entirely. The purpose of the channel is to highlight the good businesses and expose the scammers while providing my raw and honest opinion and experience. And if you noticed with my videos, I don't really visit touristy spots often. Everyone now and then to pull in the algorithm because what I really enjoy is trying food from other countries and cultures. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.

@HungryPolarBear what I mean is alot of these spots are local affordable food for families in these areas... the moment they get on KZbin it gets to their head and prices go way up... such as all the lechonera restaurants...place where a whole family would eat for 20 dollars... after KZbin same family spends 60 for the same plate...
@HungryPolarBear4 ай бұрын
@@Ricanchino 🤣 I hear you man and this is a real problem in today's world. However, I don't think I would say KZbin is the reason for Inflation. Everybody is hurting right now because of how overpriced everything is. And if a spot is overcharging I would like to visit and expose them because that's what I do here. Is a $20 Burger worth $60? Most likely not. My family and I, we don't even eat out anymore because we used to spend $20-$30 now the cheapest we can get away with is $60 like you said. I cook daily and we spend about $10-$20 worth of groceries everyday we cook ourselves when it used to be $5-$10 daily. I understand what you're saying though now with Social Media because the "Food Influencers" go to a spot and overhype it..etc.. That's now what I do if you watch my videos. I'm a "Food Critic" so I go in and let the people know if it's valid, I'm not blindly promoting businesses which is what Influencers do. I don't work for any of these businesses, they don't pay my bills. I'm helping them pay their bills so I'm expecting a certain level of food, fresh and done to the best of their ability. When I see them cut corners, I get upset...like frozen fried chicken etc.. If I wanted frozen food I would go to Dollar Tree myself and hit up the frozen food there. I have spoken to some business owners too and they have told me that the reason for the prices is that the prices have gone up from their suppliers and also their employees need higher pay nowadays too. You know, it's a cycle, one area affects another. Essentially, they are saying that despite the higher prices, they're still making the same amount of profit. Now that's probably not all business owners, but some. At the end of the day, only the rich are getting richer, there's no government intervention.

That's not Trini/Chinese food...you have to go to T&T to experience it...Alvin's is a joke..
@HungryPolarBear4 ай бұрын
One day I will visit T&T, but I genuinely enjoyed the food. I'm a Food Critic not a Food Influencer or Food Vlogger, I share my raw and honest experiences. I don't work for none of these businesses, watch a couple videos on YT and you will see that I don't sugar coat nothing.

@@HungryPolarBear I know,but you are also brave to eat in certain restaurants,like that cheap Chinese buffet..I have been around the world a cpl times,and the only country i will not eat street food is in India....I live in Orlando for the past 26 years,and lived in NYC for 20 before that,so i know my food.
