HEART OF GOLD by far the best ever hardcore track ever made
@stuartkmusic
@stuartkmusic Жыл бұрын
Personally, I wouldn’t agree. Heart of Gold is a classic hardcore track but for me, there are better out there. That being said, if we all had the same favourite, it wouldn’t be any fun. Great choice nonetheless 👍

What a place what a time..!! Now its a bowling centre...They got me into hardcore and I'm still an avid listener 35years later...Where's them whistles where's them horns!!!!

It’s funny, I went back over all my original notes and there were a few little bits like that and Sharkey playing Glastonbury in 1999 that didn’t end up in the video.

@@stuartkmusic got to respect John Peel - he championed happy hardcore - banging it out every Thursday night to the world - predominantly middle class listeners. They are also all on yt. Gammer was not even around in the 90's lol 🤦.. The 90's UK Hardcore scene was dominated by Seduction, Slipmatt, Vibes, Vinylgroover, Sy, Dougal, Hixxy, Force & Styles, Scott Brown & Marc Smith. Do some research instead of constantly saying things that are untrue.

You're shining is undoubtedly THE best vocal happy hardcore tune ever produced. The only other track that hit me with the same feels was 'Speak of Love' by Heaven 7. Interestingly, both tracks do not feature an overly cheesed up melody, both have something else going on in them that is somewhat haunting... and I think that is a secret to making a serious tune.

@@stuartkmusic 100% always moves forward :-) Something i try to do myself but it's not always easy for a 90s artist as you have a fan base that wants to hear music that we made during that period. As an artist we must love what we make its what makes our music real. :-)
@stuartkmusic

@QFXmusic I cannot agree more with this. Music is how we express ourselves. We should all be free to make the music we want to, as difficult a reality that may be for some. The loyal ones who understand that will always follow.

Luving the videos and the history, doin a great job. Every one I know who like hardcore and those who don't all seem to agree that 'nakatomi - children of the night" is the theme to hardcore itself. Iv searched hi and low and can not find a whole lot about them except one site side that Mr. Nakotomi himself was the producer of venga boys. True or false I don't know. But I'd love to find out more about the group as they did some huge tunes. Keep up the great work, thanks

I love this suggestion @Jamey S. Of course we couldn’t really call it Hardcore History if we don’t explore as much as possible. I didn’t know the possible Vengaboys link and I’m not sure you are ready for my guilty pleasures yet 😂😂 It’s an obscure list that even they feature on. Anyway, I will definitely get nakatomi added to the list straight away. 👍

Darren is a lovely Man. Meet him lots of times over the last 27 years. Always remeber in 98 99 i saw him in london Evolution, he was not playing that night, my good mate DJ D-LITE was talking to him called me over, D said to me you know who this is.... Course i do !! I asked Darren, where has he been as i'd not seen him play out for time. He said mate, i'm sick to death of playing heart of gold and feild of dreams. But he then said i have something coming soon, new sound new vison. Always stuck with me, as few short years later, Boom we all know what happen.. Grate video Stuart !! I know it's not happy or uk hardcore, But i'd truly love to see video on TOP BUZZ Mad P Jason K, Nothing of any merit on KZbin. Be amazing.

Next: Dougal & Gammer! I love their HHC and also Gammer's work, he's still one of my favorite producers and DJs, I love his quick crazy mixes, man got skills! And something I hate about HHC.. so many great tracks were never released in full length, I just can't find them, so many tracks from Clubland X-Treme Hardcore aren't available anywhere😞 why?
@stuartkmusic
@stuartkmusic Жыл бұрын
@Daniel K you should definitely check out episode 2. You’ll find what you are looking for there 👍 As for tracks from the Clubland X-Treme series and such, I think it’s done on purpose by the labels to give the releases something unique. Probably just a case of getting stuff cleared but I’ve heard some of the bigger labels like UMTV, in the case of Clubland, can be pretty slow for some stuff. Couldn’t say that’s it for sure and this is just my opinion from the little I’ve learned while making the series. Follow this link for Dougal & Gammer 👍 kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnXTl3mXqb99Y5Y

@@stuartkmusic I fell in love with the Clubland sound era, never been into the 90s sound. And those 00s tracks sometimes sound dry and too simple. And I think Fracus & Darwin added more interesting sounds and atmosphere in their music, sometimes Freeform vibes, and I love it.

Well, I might also been to quick to say something about the releases. Looking at the releases for UK Dance post 1997, most of them doesn't appear to be Force & Styles tracks, except for a few re-releases or already released tracks put into different combined release. but I know of at least one release after 2000, and it was Make Believe/Look at Me Now that (from what I've been told) was a commissioned release by Anabolic Frolic for his 6th (and what was supposed to be the last) Happy 2b Hardcore chapter.
