Haven't seen this style of question for some time, not since the 80s perhaps and reality set in. As long as I'm in charge, endowed with "heaven sent" impunity, and basically holding a gun on you, this is a reasonable and rational question. Because invasion and conquest of the people's Commons utterly excludes the basic freedom of information in objection to an authoritarian dominance, ..to actually be informed is absolutely required in genuine Democracy/Actuality.

If electoral democracy truly facilitates self-correction, then why does the USA seem caught in a cycle of repetition? Every two decades, they start a new Vietnam War. The influence of Israeli lobbies and the military-industrial complex, which even Roosevelt struggled to overcome, has only intensified. Nowadays, elections are merely selections; candidates are pre-selected rather than genuinely chosen by the people. The shift from historical censorship to today’s mass digital censorship is not self-correction. Furthermore, US's monitory and industrial policy never self-corrected. Both Obama and Biden resorted to printing trillions of dollars to bail out oligarchs, with the latter doing so on an even larger scale. The USA remains stagnant, and if anything, the situation worsens.
