You can see on the side you did just a regular cleanse you were very light with it and didn't really cleanse it well, and opposed to when you double cleansed, you used the water based cleanser normally. I love double cleansing and do it almost every single night, but it's not bad if you're not wearing makeup to not double cleanse.

@@canesugar911 no you really don't. Unless maybe you're wearing layers of layers of really thick sunscreen. For the the most part, regular cleansers are able to get a few layers of sunscreen off. Lots of dermatologist talk about this

No hate, but if you watch very closely, you didn't rub the single cleanse eye as much as the double cleanse one, which you can also tell by the result. So technically you could get all of it off with a thorough single cleanse.

Actually I noticed it too. I started to use double cleanse 6 months ago, and tried more than 4 different oil cleansers but in fact I end up with breakouts from a clean face. So I stopped using double cleanse and guess what happen, my face starts getting better. Even my cosmetolog said to stop using oil cleanser.

I’ve used oil and a couple different cleansing balms. I’m still figuring out if it breaks me out or not. But the pure oils (like almond oil) have definitely broken me out. And one cleansing balm by Versed actually burned my skin and made it peel. Double cleansing isn’t for everyone!

You can use any cleanser for that. If you use the same cleanser twice it will do the trick you don't need to buy an oil based one.

I literally just use an oil based cleanser first because it’s easier to remove makeup with it. If you’re not wearing makeup you absolutely can “double shampoo” your face

I feel like double cleansing along with lactic acid from the ordinary has changed my skin! Hard to say which bc started both around 2 months ago but it’s a budget friendly thing to try to start doing since the lactic is $10 or under, can’t remember, and you probably already have the double cleanse stuff. Even if it’s just your face wash.

Installing the UV app is the best. You can actually check your face before applying spf. Maybe it wears off in 2 hours. Maybe it doesn't. Why be uncertain?

Well, no wonder her face was still dirty if she barely washed it. I massage my face for couple minutes and then rinse it properly. Then, I might go with another round. Double cleanse I use only when I have make up on. My skin is very reactive to dirty and cloggs easily but it never got bad just because I didn't strip sunscreen with oils.

I double cleanse mostly but if I've only needed one spf application and it's not wr then a single cleanse is enough . You're using a stick spf , try with a normal non wr spf .

I have karma to oily skin and Double cleansing does not work for me. Causes me to break out heavily. I have tried to double cleanse with 4 different oil cleanser and I couldnt find any that would nt cause me break outs. I always wash my oil cleanser with luke warm water but still it clogs my pores and gives me acne, i have stopped double cleansing 1 month ago and all my acne dissapeared.

I too have very oily skin, especially on my T zone. I too don't double cleanse often. Since I don't wear makeup most of the time, I double cleanse only on the days I wear makeup and/or on the days I spend most of the day in the city (it's very humid here). I believe that it's the products and the method of washing that matters more than how many times you wash.

You could wash after with cold water to tighten ur pores or just never forget to wipe ur face with towel or tissue, not doing that could make the skin more oily and attract dust so the skin will become sensitive esc... Maybe some don't have a problem but in general when there's air polution it happens. Remember that every step is important for some it's fine with them. And everyone's skin is different and some methods Don't go with others.

Yes! It can cause premature aging the same way it's bad to leave on makeup. Also, it can lead to clog pores. Meaning that it causes an increase production of sebum, which can result in acne, blackheads and whiteheads. Please remove the sunscreen at the end of the day!

First of all, see a dermatologist cuz im not an expert & i don't know your skin type. But this is what i know from my experience. Use a gentle hydrating cleanser & wash or a something gentle for ance, stop exfoliating for a couple of weeks if you do & always moisture even if you have oily skin. Also there might be some ingredient in your cleanser that ur skin could be allergic to (The milk cream based cleansers & gel wash works great for my dry & my sis's acne prone skin but everyone's skin is different so should see a dermatologist)

@@fatimajamal808 I did go to a dermat and he diagnosed me with comedonal acne of cosmetic origin and he was very clear that it happened because of my skincare. I did some research after that and found that dry skin can start producing excess oil if you strip off to much meanwhile water content will be imbalance. Based on all this I tried laniege toner and it worked ( I had to use dermat recommended moisturizer and he put me on adaplane.. which alone was not working so added benzoyl peroxide) and even now if I oil cleanse for two days straight, i breakout on the third day for sure (i did this to confirm that oil cleanse had been the problem as this while)

You don’t need to double cleanse in the morning. Derms say in morning either use only lukewarm water, or if your skin is oily use a gentle cleanser in morning. Double cleanser is for at night, and only needed if you either wear makeup and/or wear waterproof sunscreen.
