DOES DYING YOUR SKATES HOLD UP OVER TIME?

Its been about a month since I've dyed the Razors Cult Aggressive Inline Rollerblades. Lets see how they're holding up after about a dozen sessions.

Yo, I used to do this with white discs for disc golf. You can use black electric tape when you dye to keep the white in space for accents and designs. RIT dye is the best. Acetone will get any of the label or logos off too! Just got to dilute with water a little, if you're worried you can use a stronger nail polish remover.... it will do the trick.

It seems by the cuff wear that the dye penetrates the plastic pretty deep! Good stuff

Try melamine sponge to clean up, it is easier, faster and almost 0% abrasive

It's not die related but I'm tempted to make some kind of suede or leather outer for my skates like the sam crofts/them u1's I thought that might be the most durable. loving the video!

You just said it yourself... grape. Dye them purple, white and black. White/black being the frame, laces, cuff. Example: purple skate, black cuff/frame. White laces/ buckle/wheels.

@@okthisisthelasttimeipromise I love the new roces, but with the red/pink and bobbi’s gold it’s a little too gucci/feminine (although nothing wrong with that) but think some black with a purple would be sick. I thought I would hate the yellow, but these definitely have made me want more out of the box themes because those are too good!

It really depends on how long you leave them in the dye. If I left these in for less time the yellow would be much softer/lighter.

I have the red razor sls I’m gonna dye them neon green. My only question is does the dye scrape off when you grind or does it hold up fairly well?

@@iRollerboot yeah at the moment I’m Doing a murda copy with the red and white setup gonna hold off on the dying plus I’m kind of Leary if it would actually dye or possibly mess up the red boots so I decided to stay with the red and white for now
