Kakko Kappo is rumored to be on market as well. Wont cost too much like Morgan Frost. One year left on prove-it deal then RFA. Better target for type of player we need. Remember we have potentially Oliver Moore, Ryan Greene, Slaggert, and Dach, looking for roster spots this year after trade deadline. We dont need change of scenery players with high salaries or lots of term. We have our own drafted young players and we are in no rush with rebuild.

Top five draft pick who is an RFA next year could be had for second round draft pick. Kappo instead of Maroon or Anderson, or Kurachev? for a second round pick? I’ll take a chance on a 25 yr old power forward for that cost. Other guys like D. Couzins are way too expensive. that’s my point.

Kirby Dach cost the 13th overall pick plus a third and that’s without the pedigree Cozens has. It’s an expensive trade to get a big centre that has proven they CAN put up numbers

I wanted the Hawks to draft Dylan Cozens instead of Kirby Dach. Yes, Cozens made sense in the 2019 draft! So 5 years later we're realizing what we should have understood 5 years ago.

@beelzeebub1 i think alot of people don't realize what davidson did blowing it up the way he did, it was going to take roughly 10 years before the hawks were a dominant team. Most Hockey players take years before they're effective or considered elite. Getting bedard was great, but maybe was the worst thing for kyle and the fans.
