May konting discrepancy sa kwento ni Glenn Jacinto from Mike Dizon's account on how the song "Laklak" first got its air play. During Rico Blanco's Interview with Mike Dizon, and with another interview from CTZN, Mike Dizon said that they brought the demo casette to LA 105.9, on the 17th floor of Philcom Center. Mike and his friends left the cassette tape with the person in charge of the radio station at that time. Mike wasn't sure if he was a security guard or the janitor of that particular establishment, but they left the demo cassette nonetheless. They instructed that guy to play the A side of the tape, with the song "Falling Apart" recorded on it. The song "Laklak" was recorded on the B side of the same tape. The next week, they tuned in to LA 105.9 and heard the song "Laklak" instead of "Falling Apart". People liked it and started requesting the station to play. The rest, they said, is history.

Actually we got to meet Ed Formoso after na mag number 1 yung laklak kase he was offering a recording deal for that particular song. Kaso compilation album. We declined and waited for the right deal. Eventually Rene Salta of Warner took notice of us and rest is history

Grade school ako nung lumabas yung kantang "Laklak". Everytime may inuman akong pinupuntahan, yun talaga ang kantang tumutugtog sa utak ko. To Sir Mike Dizon, as well as the band members of Teeth and Sandwich, thank you for making good music! The alternative bands from the 90's will always have a special place in my heart! I grew up listening to grunge and alternative OPM. Two decades later, nagbago man ang format ng music recording and playback from cassette to CD to MP3, and now onto music streaming in high res, halos hindi nagbago ang playlist ko. Staple na syempre ang Teeth, Rivermaya, Eraserheads, Yano, The Dawn, Wolfgang, etc. Nakakatuwa na dumaan man ang mga taon, yung mga bandang yun, magkakaibigan pa rin. Salamat!

First time I heard it around '92 i think while I was listening at the radio around lunch time....My first reaction was "wow", and the lyrics that stuck to me was "ito'y hindi inuming pambata...mag yosi ka nalang muna". Sabi ko atus 'to ah....I was around 12 years old...

I don't care kung ano ang kwento, kesyo iba ang version ni Mike or Glenn. but one thing I care about, is that they composed one of the greatest OPM Rock hits of all time! year 1995 ko naririnig sa radyo ang "Laklak" it was the most requested and most played song during my last few months living in the Philippines. 13-14 years old ata ako nun at nakaka relate sa kanta! I am 38 years old now and been living in the US ever since 1996 and lagi ko pa din pinapakinggan at tinutugtog namin ng mga ka jamming ko ang "laklak"!

The idea is in early 90s it was a boom for alternative punk rock band like pearl jam, alice n chains and Nirvana etc. While From 80s we have a metal sounds like metalica etc. I guess the shifting of music or new found music are the best way to have the artist more become popular now a days. And by dway im a fan of the teeth too and the power of grunge..
