I kept with the game for longer than most, (until around when they canceled seasons for operations) for me the gameplay was solid but my friends stoped playing it, mostly just due to the sbmm, they weren’t having fun playing with me cause I have been playing halo forever and they hadn’t, they had fun in rounds by themselves but that drove them from the game and eventually the sbmm got to unbearable for me too as I would always be winning against noobs to the point of not having fun or lose if against swears to the point of having even less fun (and it was the sweats I got more than the noobs) idk maybe it’s not sbmm but the problem is it didn’t feel balanced or fair and nothing ever fixed that for me so I went to other games unfortunately. I’d love to come back to it as I did genuinely like the game a lot but without my friends online or casual rounds there isn’t much of a point for me. Sorry for the rant I just really enjoyed the game and wish I could get back into it.

we just need Halo 7 using assets from infinite, scrap the seasonal bs, bring back old customization, port in fan maps and customs from Infinite, launch it *with* forge, and split screen, and a big, badass, classic campaign, and basically bring in the Infinite multiplayer as-is. I played the Campaign but didn’t play much for Seasons 1-4 (I was also grinding for 152 in H5). Without Firefight, I had no incentive to keep playing. That said, any PvE updates are an absolute blessing in my book. I love this game now, but I will admit without peeps to play with, I rarely play any matchmaking and spend more time in Forge and the Spartan Barbie Dressup Closet.

I think the enjoyment factor of Infinite increases tenfold with each friend that joins you to play it! But in terms of solo play its also enjoyable (For me at least)

Perhaps my biggest perplection with infinite's launch was the lack of forge from day 1. I firmly believe this would have helped bridge the content drought gaps in the early days and possibly helped retain more players throughout its life until now.

I played infinite when it first came out. I left after a couple of months due to the lack of content and the sh!t show that 343 was at the time. I'll take your advice and give it another go, the game does look and appear in a lot better condition now, and more importantly, 343 appears to be in a better state, and I'd like to support that change.

As someone who practically stopped playing Infinite after S2, I'd say it's finally jammed packed with enough content to demand a 2nd chance at life. Keep in mind this game is free to play and the amount of content is phenomenal. It has enough to keep you hooked for a while and the selection of maps and modes is honestly really good. If you ever get bored with the normal playlists just hop on over to custom games

The extent and cost of cosmetic mirco-transactions said enough about the state of the game early on for me to say no. I loved the series and Infinite's gameplay, but 343 has just fumbled way too much of what could have been the best Halo experience since Reach and H3 for Infinite to be redeemable in the eyes of many long time fans.

I have many issues with Infinite, but the main metric I use now is "what does it do better?" I've been having a lot of fun lately with MCC PC, Murder Miners, and Delta Ring. What does Infinite bring to the table that these three don't? Even if it did become better, I still wouldn't play it just out of principle. I'm tired of games needing "redemption arcs" just to become playable. At this point, if MS and 343 want me back, then I need an absolutely perfect game. At launch. Something to finally dethrone Bungie. Do I think that'll ever happen? No. But after over a decade of waiting, I think it's a reasonable sentiment. Anyway, sorry for the rant. I'm glad you're able to enjoy the game.

I like the video very much. It’s very fresh, retrospective, and organized. I can say from day one when I played the MP Beta in November 15, 2021, those first months were the best moments of my late Junior year at college. I was very excited to play the campaign over and over. The Multiplayer I can recall saying at launch “It needs work”. That is to say I wasn’t *mad* or *hateful* of the game. Those who do, let me state that they act like they’re stuck at Day One. I can understand why they are dissonant and quick to judge the game from its rough patch & release, but you have to realize that video games today will always be like that with some exceptions here and there. Give it over time and you got a well polished game. Like Sgt said the old 343 is gone and the new leadership is now taking the wheels. They will do better and as much as effort they can while working with Microsoft. Sure people can complain about the shop, but really it’s a F2P game :p It’s like Destiny how people were somewhat disappointed or profoundly confused day one and then as the years go by they come back every once awhile to see what’s new. I know the modern sentiment towards 343 and Halo isn’t as 2010 era but we should focus on the present and future instead of the past too much. Yes we can get better and note what they should do better but with faith in Pierre Hintze and the team we can have fun! That’s all my gospel for today on this video lol let me know what you guys think.

1:30 before we get any further into the video I have to state I was 7 when Halo came out and have played it since and as an old head I can tell you right now Infinite is no where near as bad as folks might think. Yeah there are some things that detract from the game and make it feel less like the halo we grew up with but if I said I wasn’t a fan I’d be lying my ass off. The game is quite good and I love the campaign and how we get to see chief share his vulnerability with a friend who needed to be shown that no one even him is perfect.

1. Weapon balance is terrible in btb since thr game makes you weak off spawn and there’s not enough precision weapon spawns(this makes vehicles op) 2. @@SGTBlairTV maybe a little bit, but I think at this point 343 needs to launch a new game, and I’d even debate m$ should allow it to launch on PlayStation. What needs to be there at “ launch” 1. Color customisation needs to return and they can monetize other stuff(gun and vehicle skins, assassination animations, death effects, armors like say an armor that looks like Batman, etc) 2. Lots of weapons, I think it’s clear reducing the amount of weapons in halo created a boring game. People talked about weapon reduncy in h5, but I think people deep down enjoyed all the stuff(variety is always nice) 3. Movement should stay the same as infinites but with some strafe inertia return. 4. 20 maps at launch, 10 of these should be 4v4, 8 should be BTB and the other 2 should be firefight 5. There should be plenty of game types including infection. 6. Bring back social features. 7. Custom browser and forge at LAUNCH

To me, Halo Infinite *was* that second chance. 5 was awful, not even Halo, just call of duty cosplaying as Halo. And if you like cod that's great for you, but that's not Halo. So when Infinite was announced, I was hesitant and concerned.m, but hey it seemed good at first. But the open world quickly felt empty and boring, the bosses very quickly felt like samey and bland bullet sponges, and the multiplayer again is just call of duty cosplaying as Halo. If you're enjoying it, that's great for you. Have fun, no one should take that away from you. But for me, Halo died a long time ago and I've since moved on.

@@SGTBlairTV noting wrong with that. I play it. But it's on its 745th chance for me. Why is that number adding up? Cause it's halo and it's the only console fps I play. Literally play it to remain fresh for whenever the next game comes out. For you, maybe you like the gameplay loop. That's fine. But as far as other coming back to it, those others have already come back to the game multiple times and giving it multiple chances. Brother they went through three different chances from season 1 to season 2 alone. I would not wish my enemy to return back to this game. If they genuinely left and never returned since, I'm going to ask him to remain gone and please pick up another game and hopefully the next Halo will be significantly better. That's all.

So I waited a LONG time before I played this game. Like started playing mid way through season 6 late. I heard bad things and didn’t have the tech to run it so I waited. I definitely have some problems with shop prices and lack of vehicles/sandbox items but I think if 343 let us use our SP to buy shop bundles or single items from them it would be so good for monetary purposes but also keep the community happy by letting buy items through grinding the game not just whipping out the wallet. That’s all I’d really change aside from maybe a better anti cheat or ways to get rid of smurfs in ranked. Other than that I really enjoy the gun play and movement. It’s the best balance IMO out of the modern shooters.

Look man I really love halo I do, I think infinites forge is hands down the best we ever got and I’m not wanna of those neckbeards who think the gameplay loop is bad because it is good. I'm pretty much done with Halo as a franchise, 343 had over a decade to make a good game and fucked it up at every turn. I'm a first impressions type of person and I rarely ever give anything a second shot, Infinite botched it from the get go with a lack of content, very limited multiplayer customization and one of the worst campaigns I've ever had the displeasure of playing, and that's saying something when Halo 5 exists. At the behest of a couple of friends I came back for season 4 and still thought it was garbage, I REALLY don't like how customization works in Infinite, how it is now is how it should've been in the beginning, but I'm not putting out like 15 dollars for a somewhat cool looking skin, not to mention needing to fucking read books to know what's going in the main story, I only got time for a few hobbies and I'm not spending that precious resource on reading bad Halo fiction.
