You are correct about 1 and 3 year returns , however 4 years returns of CCP (or since inception) has beaten the benchmark and I expect similar performance from the other schemes as well..they focus on the the long term

Actually the returns published on marcellus website are net of expenses and pms fees of 2% - the pms fees are prorated every day just like a normal expense ratio of a mutual fund. Its also the sebi rule to publish returns. So u are correct Marcellus is a consistent underperformer - but wrong about return calculation

@@simonandrews5256 just one thing Saurabh M never told anyone to buy any stock and also most investors like to just hear good things about a stock and they buy it don't see fcf , rev growth , pat growth and don't even see the annual reports . Polymers were expensive hence the raw material cost for Relaxo was very high . Stock took a beating and the revenue fell as prices increased of the chappal and amidst all this the PAT came down while Mr Mukherjea sold the stock . Also in India majority young investors dont know when and how to average out stocks hence they suffer . E lafda nhi karna par bhai yahi sachai hai . Peace Out

Although your data is correct, from foreign holding I think he didn't mean just FII holding. If you see promoters of HDFC Bank, they are HDFC ltd, HDFC investments ltd and HDFC holdings Ltd. All 3 are Indirect Foreign holdings.

And as Ray Dalio said in his famous book ‘You can only make money in the stock market by consistently betting against the market(ie getting it right more often than now)’…. TCS/Infosys HDFCBANK/KOTAK will remain in my portfolio for a long long time to come.
