Aye, deeply true. Just today I was out walking my little colt stallion and as so often I found myself bewildered by some little interaction that showed a complete disconnect in one met to the basic realities of nature - this time it was a chap leading a mare with his 7 or 8 year old daughter riding it. I was holding a colt stallion and as they passed 20 yards away I called over to ask when they'd be returning so I didn't pass them on the road with my stallion - he proceeded to turn around and lead the mare right up to us with his daughter on its back still and when the mare and my stallion started whinnying at each other and my stallion hopping on the spot he asked "Isn't he used to other horses?" To which I replied "He's a colt stallion and you've got a mare there." He seemed a bit puzzled by this explanation for why I was busy holding my horse back and telling him to stand still very firmly. ...And this in a rural area, though the chap clearly wasn't a farmer. The disconnect is really quite shocking and often dangerous when push comes to shove... folk failing to recognise the most basic animal instincts, seemingly expecting animals to behave like metropolitan commuters, then they're shocked when they suddenly learn that their dog is a predator who likes to hunt and a male horse is drawn to try to mount mares. So yes, strongly support this.

Hi Will love your latest video, as a x farmer can’t agree more. Been down to London today, the people down there haven’t a clue where there food comes from and how fragile the system is.

I agree. But if you want your kids to learn something, teach them yourselves. Don’t rely on the government run school. Best of all get your kids to learn how to teach them selves. No pitch! Hope also well with the little fellow please give him a scratch behind the ear from me. 😊

My only complaint with this is that what the government refers to as "sustainability" is harming farming and healthy nutrition. So while the spirit of the petition is good, I am afraid that any implementation might make things worse. This is, of course, not the fault of those that raised the petition, but it is a case of "be careful what you wish for".
