Does it Survive? 80lb RC Monster Truck Hits The "SEND IT" Ramp: 1/5 Scale Primal RC Raminator Bash

You asked for it and got it. The Primal RC monster truck hit the send it ramp. It flies pretty good considering it's size and weight. The first hit was scary as I had no idea how it would respond to the jump or in the air. To make matters worse...my brakes were pretty much non-existent.
On Instagram and Facebook I mentioned that I ordered parts and had work to do...and that's true. I've got some parts coming in and have to work on the brakes. :) So I didn't lie.

I know there is a lot of tuning and tweaking ahead to get it where I want it, but that's what makes it a hobby. That's totally understandable. I love to high fly RCs as well, but really like my scale solid axle monster trucks as well. I've been working towards getting one of these since I first saw it last May. Definitely not for everyone. I think 30k is a few months away, but the channel's definitely been growing this past year. I secretly was planning to on the first video...until I ran out of gas. Then I decided that I didn't want it to get any muddier than it was as I wanted to record more footage of the truck for the video. It handles it well...but did better when I hit it with speed

Excellent!!!!!! Yes it did very well in the air! I noticed it was bouncing a bit on landing though. I watched Kevin Talbot's video and he drilled out the shock plungers a half size bigger, maybe it will absorb it a little better? Thanks for hitting the ramp, cool!!!!

Hey Josh! It did pretty good...especially when I was getting comfortable with it in the air. It can go higher, but I'm not going to hit it full speed until I have the brakes working. I'm planning to race this truck with other guys and I have a feeling there will be others with the Raminator graphics. I'm having Rampage graphics printed. Google Rampage monster truck and look for the red dodge one. Until I get that...I"m leaving the protective out layer on the body.

I have dual shocks on mine and launch mine as well...I see you have single....how’s it hold up with single....i did bust one of the shocks up but it lands nice a shoft with the dual shocks!! Just wondering how yours does with single shocks?

Definitely need to be well out of the way when sending that much aluminum into the air. Probably would tear out the fence if the brakes didn't work. Awesome video.

Those shocks only have 100cst oil in them and there still super hard. The Pistons inside only have four 1mm holes they don't let enough fluid through your shocks will do so much better and not bounce if you drill out the piston holes! 👍👍👍

Also, the truck might need some limited straps that could have fixed the shocks from doing that but i guess the weight could have been a factor as well.

Yes. Suspension is the first thing I want to address. Need to lower it and make it more plush. Super stiff right now

I went bigger as I continued on and realized how it would handle in the air. I have to tighten down a lot of the screws and get the brakes working again and then i'll hit it faster. I was getting close to full speed on a few, but that weird landing loosened up some stuff on the front axle and it needs to be fixed before I go bigger. It's not going to get air like an x-maxx. It's super heavy, but it might be able to get a little more air. You want the moon...you know where to find it.
