I was told by my high school music teacher that I had a natural ear for harmony and also that I had perfect pitch..also if we were outside singing and they wanted to start on a certain note she would ask me..and more often than not I could pull up the tonic note to the song..really only because I had memorized what key we were doing the songs in so I knew my part so I could pull up everyone else's starting notes..if you hear the harmony in your mind the keys don't really matter as much because the spacial distances are all the same. Vocals are easy, instruments are difficult. Ask any true guitar player.

@@wimbledofy you can just Google it. It's either a genetic trait or something that has to be learned basically as an infant or you can never learn perfect pitch. I've always had the impression that JB seems like one of the more down-to-earth, grounded celebrities. I've never met him so I really have no idea, but he seems like a great guy.

This dude has pretty perfect pitch. He may not be able to identify the pitch by name but he can hit every stride and note along the way like very few can. It’s remarkable.

I'd also say JB has lots of training that makes him able to freestyle jam with folks because he knows the structures of music and what works with what.

There are MANY things to praise Jack Black on. He really is underrated as a vocalist, though. His technique is really just mindblowing, & from a different world. Bring back the passion for music!!!!

I started playing around with pitch, remember a song where I know the key and notes to be true, then sing what I know to be concert A from that memory, it takes practice, but I'm getting pretty good! It's a fun party trick 😅
