Hardly similar. Silva was all about controlling the play, playing in the full backs on overlapping runs...McAtee is different. McAtee is a lot more direct and plays like a #10 that wants to score as much as he wants to assist. He's not looking to control the tempo of the game. If McAtee were right footed, he wouldn't be compared to Silva.

You're talking about Silva in the latter stages of his career at Man City. Silva when he arrived at City played Second striker, Attacking Mid, Left or Right Wing and played False 9 for Spain. He was a lot more direct back then and that's the Silva Mcatee is being compared too. If you watch Silva in the beginning of his time at City, or watch him in Euro 2012 at false 9 you'll see exactly how similar they are.
